at the time, a plea deal dropped a first-degree murder charge. sapp also agreed to back-to-back 50-year sentences. in october, a district judge cut down the sentence by allowing the sentences to run at the same time. autumn's mother says she is upset about the judge's decision but there's nothing the family can do about it. it's very unfortunate that judge jacobson took it upon himself to change what was very clearly written out in a plea agreement i don't think it's in his place at all to reconsider the sentence." said, jennifer elgersma. jennifer elgersman says the board of parol should have been the one to change the sentence not the judge. but, she agreed with the sioux county attorney not to file an appeal. a 44-year-old bloomfield, nebraska man is headed to prison for stealing cattle from a feedlot in northeast nebraska. timothy ketelsen was sentenced to five to eight years in prison in knox county district court. he pleaded guilty in september to charges of tax evasion, theft and illegal sale of livestock. court documents say ketelsen's former boss reported that 13 head of cattle had been stolen from his bloomfield feedlot. ketelsen was also ordered to pay over 75- thousand dollars in restitution to the victims. a highway stop, in which iowa police officers pointed weapons at an innocent man, and his 6- year-old son, has prompted a federal lawsuit and claims of racial profiling. details of the september 2014 incident in northwest iowa have emerged in a lawsuit filed by the driver, 32-year-old levi wilson of orange city. wiwion, who is of indianan descent, claims the stop and search were illegal. the iowa division of criminal investigation says officers acted appropriately because they were searching for wilson's brother, who was wanted on outstanding warrants as a sex offender. officers say the brothers sometimes drove the same truck. levi wililn denies that. a community gathered today to march in honor of native american children some tribal members say have been lost to adoption and foster care. every year the march to honor lost children recognizes those children through a peaceful walk. today it began at the war eagle monument in n oux city, for the 13th year of thehevent. "there's still disproportionate numbers of our children in foster care," said frank lamere, organizer of the march to honor lost children. "disproportionate numbers of our children are being adopted. and i think that we need to be vigilant." one of the main goals of the event a goal was to reconnect foster and adopted ildren with their fafalies. coming up on ktiv news four at six, we share the story of one family who says they lost a child under foster care...and why it was important for them to participate in the march. a memorial is taking place in des moines to honor victims of the plane crash 30- years-ago today that killed members of the iowa state university track team. . two sisixlanders were killelein the crash. runner cheryl maahs from spirit lake, iowa. and, stephanie streit, a student trainer, from hawarden, iowa. the plane crashed in a residential area of des moines on november 25, 1985. there was freezing rain falling at the time of the tragedy. all seven people on board died, , including the pit and two coaches. a house fire in sioux city's morningside neighborhood kept firefighters busy this morning. when crews arrived on the scene of 14-05 south rustin, just after eight this morning, firefighters found smoke coming from home. fire officials believe the fire started in the kitchen, went up to the ceilili, and into the attic.c. flames shot through the roof when they cut holes to ventilate it. the structure is now red-tagged and the red cross is helping those who lived in the house. no one was home with the fire broke out, but there was a cat and a dog inside. crews were able to save the cat, but the family's dog died in the fire.
