"you know a lot of people say 'donald, you have to do well in iowa', and i say 'i can't do that.'" but, trump swears victory isn't certain. he says it may not happen... possibly alluding to a tight race with texas senator ted cruz. eight years ago, mike huckabee surged in the final days to win iowa. he's one of a handful of republicans hoping for help in the closing hours to walk away with a win in iowa. we'll toss it back to the live from des moines, amanda goodman and matt breen. thanks you guys. the latest, and last poll, of the iowa caucus process came out this morning. fueled by likely first- time republican caucus-goers, texas senator ted cruz 31-24 percent in the quinnipiac university poll. that same poll showed those first timers on the democratic side favor vermont senator bernie sanders over hillary clinton 49 to 46 percent. to win the iowa caucuses you need a large voter turnout. ktiv's robert lowe is with live link 4 in des moines, robert, you caught up with voters today. sheila, i did and from everyone i spoke with--the possible snowstorm is not stopping them from going out tonight. i also spoke with party leaders who agree that won't be a factor and expect a big turnout. political analysts says a poor turnout would hurt sen. sanders and gop front-runner donald trump. but when chief photographer, jordan ogren, and i walked arou town today and stopped by some local coffee shops the biggest problem for many voters is the uncertainty of who they're going to vote for. "the hillary clinton group or the bernie sanders group, now i like both of them. so, it really tears me that i have to vote against one or the other," said carl talk about waiting to the lastt% minute--the most recent des moines register-bloomberg politics poll shows 9 percent of likely gop caucus-goers are undecided. but, 45 percent could change their candidate choice shortly before voting. sheila? tonight, most of siouxland is under a blizzard warning. several schools have already canceled classes and traveling is not advised tomorrow.. let's check in with chief meteorologist ron demers to see just how bad this storm is going to get. weather ad-lib blizzard warning in effect for most of siouxland tonight through tuesday night winter storm warning for holt, harrison, & shelby counties tonight through tuesday night for the past week we've been talking about a snow storm on tuesday fact, it's not just heavy snow but gusty winds that are going to create whiteout conditions for many of us during the day tomorrow. the snow and stronger winds will move from south to north across nebraska and iowa tonight, mainly after midnight, and continue throughout the day tuesday and move out tuesday night. but even a potential blizzard isn't stopping the iowa caucuses from happening. we've got you covered with team 4 coverage tonight. ktiv's tiffany lane will have her eye on the democrats at west middle in sioux city. the republicans meeting at north high school in sisix city. that's where ktiv's tiffany lanee joins us live. tiffany? sheila, this is a night organizers have been preparing for for months. and half an hour ago, coming through the auditorium doors here at north high. there are about 120000egistered republblans who can come to this location. organizers are putting the final touches on preparations. they have already started checking in caucus-goers. and put up signs so that participants know where to go once the event starts. this is one of woodbury county's largest republican caucus locations with four precincts. north high reporter suzan stewart will be sending results baba to des moines. "all eyes are on iowa tonight," said suzan stewart, nhs republican caucus leader. "i don't think unless you've had your head in the sand for the weekend, you realize this is a very important night. probably most important because nobody really knows what's going to happen." now caucus-goers are allowed to bring candidate signs in with them as long as they don't put them on the walls. they are also allowed to promote candidates by wearing shirts and passing out stickers. so we're definitely looking forward to seeing the excitement and participation as people continue to come through. coming up on news 4 at ten, we'll have here at north high school. now for the democrats they're getting ready to make their decision. ktiv's tommie clark continues our coverage. sheila, i'm at west middle school, which will have people from precincts 1, 6 and 7. doors open in just 30 minutes, but caucus-goers are already filing through the doors. woodbury cououy democratic party organizers are getting ready at but, here at the middle school, i spoke with organizer ben nesselhuf of the woodbury county democratic party. he explained the process to me and how the caucus will work here. nesselhuf says they're expecting through the doors. he says iowans take the caucus very seseously and that countnthere in siouxuxnd. "in the beginning they were really doing a terrific job i thought, of executing their offense against us," said head coach fran mccaffery.
