In november alone, they distributed onehundred andeightysixthousand pounds of food, which is the fifth biggest month in their history. With so much food in demand, they have to keep up with the need. So theyre always looking for more donations. Really we always emphasize that the need in our community is there 365 days a year. If we encourage our donors to stick with the essentials to make sure everybody has enough meat, enough fruit, enough vegetables, enough pastas, and cereals and breads those are the things we focus on, said food bank of siouxland executive director, linda scheid.
