Were less than six away. As Hillary Clinton and donald trump get set to hit the stage here at the thomas and mack analysts are expecting this especially for us locals who know what it normally looks like around unlv is the extra security preparations on campus have been in the works for weeks now. The parking lots have been closed. Entire buildings canceled. The type of security that goes with hosting a final president ial debate includes barriers around the parking lot. If you are driving around the area, will notice large containers, those trailers that you normally see on the back of se h creating a wall that includes fences and security guards. When it comes to the anticipation leading up to this, officials with the school are hoping students who go here take these memorys away for the next days, weeks, months and years to come knowing they had the pride that their campus was chosen for the third and final debate as polarizing as it is in 2016. I hope they take away some pride that unlv has had this moment and theyve been able to be part of it. I hope theyre also aware from is with politics and government. Between four and 10 00 tonight theres going to be a series of closures on the roadways. Its all highlighted in red on this map. A big note. Watch out for lane closures along the i15 south. Were talking the entire stretch of the strip all the way from sahara to the airport connector via 215 going to be closed down. Most of those closures, by the way, around mccarran , i should say, a lot of the closures are happening around the airport. So if you have to fly out today, or if you have to go to pick somebody up, plan ahead and expect a lot of delays. By the way the best way to get to from the airport is tropicana to swenson or flamingo to paradise. All right a car jacking suspect was shot this morning after a pursuit with the nevada highway patrol. It was a trooper involved there. It allar las vegas and ended in henderson. Were told by nhp this started after they got reports of a car jacking. So police started pursuing this suspect on the 95 near las vegas boulevard. That suspect ended up at a car dealership on gibson near auto show drive. And according to authorities, he tried to attempt another car jacking. This time it was an elderly couple inside. Police saying it was very violent. Police say the suspect and nhp the suspect was taken to sunrise trauma in unknown condition right now. The trooper involved was unharmed. Now to a shocking execution caught on camera in mexico. Before we show you this video, we do have to warn you, it is very graphic so it might be hard to watch. A federal judge shot in the back of his head while he was jogging outside of his home. This judge according to mexican media played a role in the extradition process kingpin known as el chapo. He was shot in the back of the head. Were not going to show you the moment he went down. Surveillance video shows him jogging when a hit man here is the creepy part didnt even have a mask on. Just runs up in broad daylight, pulls a gun and executes that judge. The 37yearold had presided over a number of highprofile drug cartel cases.
