would not tell us if any weapons were found or if the student had researched terrorist organizes. they did say they found enough evidence in the teen's home to threat to this school. they believe that student was acting alone and did not have any other vendetta towards any other students. sergio avila, news 3. >> thank you. a clown threat at las vegas academy today turns out to be a hoax. there was a heavy police presence outside of las vegas academy this morning after a threat from an instagram account under the name shooter the clown targeted this school over the weekend. the school principal scott walker sent an el school police will have a heightened presence on campus. it's an instance that's becoming a familiar site in clark county leaving a lot of parents concerned. >> shootings at school and what not. at first it's hard to believe and then it's a little scary. >> clown costumes were banned at the school today according to metro. whoever is behind the threats could face misdemeanor harassment charges and jail time. tonight an arrest in connection with the murder of a woman found lying in the street jail for the crime. police say hudson and the family had been dating. he now faces one count of murder. a woman was found last wednesday near alta and jones. police identified the victim by tattoos on her body. the coroner has not released her name. this was metro's 140th homicide this year. a major story in national news making headlines. jury selection underway in the trial of a former police officer accused of black man. michael slager is accused of killing scott. a bystander recorded this last year. slager was a north charleston police officer when he pulled scott over for a broken tail light. the video showed the officer firing eight times at kos ran away. city officials fired him and he was indicted for murder. firefighters are trying to it happened west of a gas leak. that caused shortages across the southern part of the united states. italy making international headlines tonight. video from the fire department shows cracks running through the surface of a mountain near the epicenter of yesterday's earthquake. more than 15,000 people were reporter: it's still a big bess -- mess, the $26,000 debt has not been sure she's not kicked out of her retirement home. >> i didn't think about reporting it. that's why i got in trouble. >> reporter: this 95-year-old world war ii veteran, irene miller, is dealing with a $26,000 problem. she says for the past 12 years, the va was paying her a small amount about $20 extra per point from her dead husband's federal her, she would not get her pension check. >> you can't double dip. you know, she's getting social security, plus she's getting his survivor benefits, plus her own benefits. >> reporter: now with the money owed miller faces the threat of getting evicted from her retirement home. if she could again, she would do things differently. >> i didn't mean to keep it secret. >> reporter: but she didn't report it. unsure, she says of who she would even call. still a potentially costly mistake. this man says it's hard to fault a 95-year-old. >> they do cross-check. she hadn't broken any law. >> reporter: since the story was told last friday, many people have reached out to help this veteran. >> it makes me feel good, there them are veterans. >> reporter: we have reached headed our northern california. for us today, the story has been the winds decreasing this afternoon. however, they were pretty strong earlier this morning. and just this little bit of high clouds drifting in from the southwest. other than that, things are pretty nice outside. but things are going to change up low pressure moving into the region. the wind speeds will pick up tomorrow night into wednesday. so a little bit of a breeze on the way. cool we'll be 46 degrees for indy -- indian springs. low 60s for lake mead. highs tomorrow will actually be a few degrees cooler compared to our temperatures today. 48 on the mountain. that's your high temperature. just want to point that out. 74 degrees for overton. also in the low 70s for pahrump and only in the upper 60s for searchlight, primm and sandy valley in the afternoon. overnight, we'll still see a few clouds out there. temperatures will be about still above normal for this time of year with those winds diminishing early tomorrow morning. temperatures will be near normal for the next few days as that area of low pressure passes through. winds will be picking up later in the day, 10, 15 miles an hour. as we look ahead to the next few days. a very mild warming trend. but the winds will reach up to 20 miles an hour, po continually gusting up to 20, 30 miles an hour. that warming trend continuing, though, all the way
