about what happened but here's what we do know. the victim told his girlfriend he heard a knock on the door, let someone in, then he was shot. he was rushed to the hospital where he later died. >> southwest. it's going be very light and scattered. clouds around the area from time to time. but the bulk of the precipitation still out towards fresno and that's lifting north and east as well. here some later. the clouds breaking up right now. we're seeing a little bit of blue sky here and there. current temperature? 80 degrees at deering elementary school already. temperatures today expected to be in the upper 70s, low 80s. then skiesra out as we get into the overnight hours but there is another system on the way. we'll look at that coming up. >> krystal: all right. we continue to be your at the spaghetti bowl got underway this morning. and just to keep in mind, again, just want to reiterate this, if you are headed on i-15 ramp is closed. n-dot has built a temporary one-lane detour for drivers by the mlk exit. >> michelle: that's what we were just looking at. you can see them all going to the right. that's going to be closed february. also a few smaller ones have shut down and that's impacting martin luther king drive. if you are headed north on i-15 use charleston and then go to mlk from there. >> krystal: if you are traveling i-15 southbound you will have to use lake mead to n-dot has put up orange detour signs. so just really watch out and pay attention until you get used to all the changes. >> michelle: in addition to car-nado many local streets on a busy stretch of charleston will be closed all weekend long for another massive construction project. we're talking about east charleston. it's going to be shut down all weekend from lamb boulevard to nellis. that's because they're building a new pedestrian bridge so people can walk across charleston boulevard. of course the goal here is to cut down on jaywalking. tonight. it will go through 5:00 a.m. monday morning. so you can use sahara as an alternate route to the south or stewart to the north. >> krystal: a federal jury has found ryan and ammon bundy along were five others not guilty for their part in the armed takeover of the wildlife refuge in oregon. the sons of nevada rancher cliven bundy and five others were acquitted on charges of conspiring to stop federal workers from doing their jobs. nevada in nevada involving his stand against the blm over unpaid grazing fees will see a similar fate. she says the case should be moved out of state to ensure a fair trial. >> michelle: today a lot workers -- and remember many of them from the nevada area, southern nevada specifically. for many workers they risked >> here in nevada, literally thousands of individuals worked for almost four decades at the nevada test site. so they were kind of the tip of the civilian spear if you will making sure the nuclear would perform the way it did. so we could all live in peace for the last seven as demonstrators promise their fight isn't over. overnight police held their ground where they clashed with native american pro cannonball, north dakota. an army of 200 officers clearing demonstrators blocking a highway used to access a controversial oil pipeline under construction. >> many of the protesters would get right in the faces of the officers and say nasty things to them. >> what length does north dakota want to go to defend the oil corporation. >> reporter: the nearly completed pipeline will cross four states connecting north dakota and illinois with some of transporting 570,000 barrels of oil a day. construction runs along the sandy rock reservation. demonstrators say it's destroying sacred land. protesters also say the pipeline threatens to pollute the missouri river which injured here which is amazing when you see that and think about two trains hitting each other head on. officials say both owned by csx the time of the accident. one was moving empty cars. the other carrying consumer goods. so these were obviously not passenger trains. they were freight trains here carrying a bunch of stuff. the injured taken to a local hospital. their conditions unknown at this time and officials are investigating that crash. >> krystal: dramatic dash cam video to show you capturing a chase then shootout between a pair of officers and suspect in tucson, arizona. oh my gosh. so let me tell what you played out. the officers are trying to pull over a suspect on a motorized bike. after he crashes the bike he takes off running, leaps over a fence while one of the officers chases him on foot the other officer eventually catches up to the pair just as they start shooting. the bullet grazed one of the officers on the side of the head. the one on foot. he went down. then the officer in the car catches up to the suspect in a shootout. that suspect was hit several times. he is 33 years old. he is in critical but stable condition. that is dramatic video. >> michelle: italian prime minister mateo renzi visited the area affected by several dwhaikz week. the government has pledged $43.6 million to help house people displaced. 5.4 and two hours later an earthquake eight times stronger brought down weakened buildings that were damaged in that earthquake, that big one in august. they cannot get a break. >> krystal: your heart goes on tout them. as we bring it let's look at the storm system as a whole here. and it's really been weakening over the last couple hours. i mean, it was pouring by modesto earlier. they had some pretty good rain showers down near los angeles well. we do have a new line starting to form. that's going to be moving toward watch next supple hours. the bulk of the activity again spring mountains where we're see something of this. out toward the east. so heading over toward mesquite, scattered showers. most of this activity very, very light. heaviest showers coming down over the spring mountains. as we head throughout the day today looking at mostly cloudy skies. gusts up to 25 miles an hour. our highs today? pretty much where we are right now. maybe another degree or two. upper 70s. there is still a possibility for more scattered showers. i the last couple minutes that we're monitoring. so just keep the umbrellas handy today. those showers will come to an end as we get into the overnight hours. 65 degrees. that will be our low tonight. our 7-day forecast? mainly dry conditions for us as we get into saturday. mix of sun and clouds, 81 for the high. the next storm system comes on sunday. this one is going to to injured here which is amazing when you see that and think about two trains hitting each other head on. officials say both owned by csx the time of the accident. one was moving empty cars. the other carrying consumer goods. so these were obviously not passenger trains. they were freight trains here carrying a bunch of stuff. the injured taken to a local hospital. their conditions unknown at this time and officials are investigating that crash. >> krystal: dramatic dash cam video to show you capturing a chase then shootout between a pair of officers and suspect in tucson, arizona. oh my gosh. so let me tell what you played out. the officers are trying to pull over a suspect on a motorized bike. after he crashes the bike he takes off running, leaps over a fence while one of the officers chases him on foot the other officer eventually catches up to the pair just as they start shooting. the bullet grazed one of the officers on the side of the head. the one on foot. he went down. then the officer in the car catches up to the suspect in a shootout. that suspect was hit several times. he is 33 years old. he is in critical but stable condition. that is dramatic video. >> michelle: we're looking at mid and upper 70s. even a few 80 degree mp i don't expect us to rise a whole lot more today. winds are still generally light. however gusts to 29 miles per hour are possible today. let's look at the storm system as a whole here. and it's really been weakening over the last couple hours. i mean, it was pouring by modesto earlier. they had some pretty good rain showers down near los angeles well. we do have a new line starting to form. that's going to be moving toward watch next supple hours. the bulk of the activity again spring mountains where we're see something of this. out toward the east. so heading over toward mesquite, scattered showers. most of this activity very, very light. heaviest showers coming down over the spring mountains. as we head throughout the day today looking at mostly cloudy skies. gusts up to 25 miles an hour. our highs today? pretty much where we are right now. maybe another degree or two. upper 70s. there is still a possibility for more scattered showers. i the last couple minutes that we're monitoring. so just keep the umbrellas handy today. those showers will come to an end as we get into the overnight hours. 65 degrees. that will be our low tonight. our 7-day forecast? mainly dry conditions for us as we get into saturday. mix of sun and clouds, 81 for the high. the next storm system comes on sunday. this one is going to to bring a chance for showers but a slight chance. less of a chance than what we well. that's going to clear out monday. monday is halloween. mostly sunny skies, 74 degrees. that's our expected high.
