>> donald trump, jr., donald trump's son, is wrapping up an appearance in gilbert. last time he was in town he pushed a car out of the road. anything heroic today? >> we have not seen any superhero type video yet, troy, but we are in standby mode today. it took a few hours for the last one to roll in. donald trump five days before the election, in gilbert, rallying votes for his father right in the heart of the city at gilbert water tower. utah senator orrin hatch, thought to be one of the stalwarts in the senator, introduced him as he took the stage. trump, jr. talks about the support he has been getting from actually reference that incident in the valley last week when the lady's car broke down. >> they're sick and tired of being lied to. they're sick and tired of the false promises. they are sick and tired of someone in a far off land living the american dream because we have sent it there, and the car in front of us broke down. it was a nice lady. they broke down. so i get out of the car, and i push the cash. it was pushed the car. we made sure we had a bottle of water, a cell phone so she could call to get help. >> and just like her dad might have mentioned, he mentioned it was a record setting day. that woman told us she was voting for hillary clinton, but was grateful for the help in the street. trump says he has been touched american from coast to coast. the next person campaigning for trump in the valley, dr. ben carson. he is scheduled to make a couple of stops in phoenix tomorrow. we are right down to crunch time. ron hoon, fox 10 news. >> thank you, ron. yes, arizona is one of those battleground states this time around as we are just days away from the election and democrat bernie sanders will be back here in arizona this weekend stumping for hillary clinton, part of a 12-state tour for him. so he'll be here on sunday, time and place yet number of early voters in florida has already exceeded the total number of voters in 2012. polls indicate a very tight race between donald trump and hillary clinton. donald trump must win the state, many feel, to have chance of collecting the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. both candidates have made repeated swings through florida. early voting in arizona ends today, polling locations have waiting hours. we thought we would check out the lines right now. steve krafft joins us live from chandler. good afternoon, steve. >> reporter: there have been lots of opportunities for people to do it, but a lot of folks haven't. so this is the situation right now. there are folks here at chandler city hall, you can see, and this is the last day for early votingment you know, we have learned that county helen purcell telling us that 900,000 out of 2.1 million registered voters have already voted in maricopa county. that's a huge level of participation. and today 19 places are still open until 5:00, this one in chandler, as i was saying. anyone in line at 5:00 will be served. right now there's a two to two and a half hour wait, and a difficult situation for folks, but, you know, as we have found talking to people in line, they were very patient. here's some of what they had to say. >> well, i think this is a very important election. i think it's going to determine a lot, so i think individuals need to get out and vote. >> it's your patriotic duty, so exercise it. >> reporter: -- on this, if you want to know more, maricopa.vote has all of the information on early voting locations, and of course if you decide you don't want to vote completed ballot in on tuesday to any polling place, and there will be lots and lots of those, over 700 around the valley. if you're going to vote on tuesday, the best times to do it according to the county recorder are mid-morning and mid afternoon, the best ways to avoid the election day crush. that's the situation in chandler, lots of voters out here, lots of very patient people looking forward to doing a tuscon teenager has just been sentenced for his role in plotting a terrorist attack. just minutes ago, we learned that mahin khan will spend eight years in prison after pleading guilty to terrorism and weapons charges. the 18-year-old planned to blow up an mvd office here in the valley and in tuscon. he's also accused of e-mailing someone in the taliban and saying he was a member of i.s.i.s. mahin had at least ten people speak on his behalf, pleading with the judge for >> he understands now that his words can have serious consequences. i request you to please take into consideration when sentencing mahin today that his first time in trouble with the law. >> well, khan will get a credit of 127 days for time already served. he will also be on lifetime the making. >> which means it's a great time to party. >> a lot of pent up party feelings in chicago, huge crowd turning out for a parade today to honor the world series champion chicago cubs. the cubs' game 7 victory was the first time the cubs won the series, as i mentioned, in 108 years. so fans, they were ready for this. the motorcade arrived at grant park f and the celebration, you can get in on it here in mesa too. you might have family members who are cubs fans forever, and they can watch in spring training every spring. monday is world series champs chicago cubs day, everyone encouraged to wear blue and post photos of your favorite spots in chance to win two cubs spring training tickets to a game. i think they are the most popular behind the dbacks, so we'll be routing that way next year for the cubs. a decision on bridge gate, did retaliation, bridge gate, the lanes of the george washington bridge that connects new york and new jersey, probably one of the busiest bridges in the country shut down, and that created huge gridlock. the two found guilty of all punishing democratic mayor of fort lee new jersey, punishing all of the people in the city and the commuters there. both the attorneys for kelly and baroni say they plan to appeal. >> i thought we presented a case to display our innocence, and i'm obviously surprised and disappointed at the verdict that was returned. >> christie denied any knowledge of the plot, but baroni testified he was informed of the closings either before or while they were going on. christie issued a statement saying he had no knowledge either during or prior. she is now recovering at the hospital but her boyfriend is still missing and feared dead. a registered sex offender is under arrest. she told deputies other women might be on the property, and authorities are now using and then there's this story, firefighters battle a three alarm fire at a pallet beyond a reasonable doubt in san bernadino this morning. it spread to a nearby strip mall, the fire now out, no word on what "the republic" says, "elect tom o'halleran. his words match his work." and "the daily star" said, "o'halleran puts the common good above party politics. your exclusive accuweather forecast with cory mccloskey on fox 10 news. all morning. >> yeah, we were. >> i thought for sure at one point we were going to get rained on because the clouds are pretty dark out there. >> but then they parted, beautiful, great look my friends. >> do you see the look of confidence on my face? >> you were. >> i was using the old fox 10 accuweather app. it was close by. >> it is free, by the way. that app is free. >> good call. we do have some rain out there, where it is, whether you might still be in its path. you can see we have still got some clouds out there but blue sky as well. it's a pretty nice way to roll through the noon hour on a friday, 75, boy, it is so pleasant out there. you have got to get out if you haven't been yet. 75 out at sky harbor. here's a look at our radar scene. there's still rain to go around. and as we talked yesterday most of this action has been relegated to the eastern half of the state and even the east valley. there hasn't been much happening on the west side at all today, a few showers, heavy rainfall has been eastward, so it will continue to stay on that side of the state, and we'll take a closer look now and see what is getting wettest at the moment. we still have showers and thunderstorms, some of them still very strong, boy, down here near safford, both north and south of the city. we have got some very strong weather. look at this. that -- you get up into this pink range, that indicates very, very heavy thunderstorm activity. there's certainly some hail in safford. keep your eyes on those southern skies. we also have rain now rolling up through the white mountains. hey, white river, we love the focuses over there, and you're -- folks over there, and you're getting a pretty good shower now. also cibicue was seen pretty good rain, also 260 from heber over to show low, you'll find rain on the march south to north. farther up north toward the utah border, here on the kaibab plateau, showers going too mostly on the light side. you can see most of the action in the valley over the past 24 hours has been light, generally in the tenth of an inch range, but some spots have seen more, down here south of florence, three and a half inches there just in the last 24 hours, and then over here west of sacatone an inch and a and south of maricopa -- still more rain on the way for the rest of the afternoon. here's our futurecast, and it will all be over here in the eastern part of arizona. we'll put it all in motion for you here as we get to, oh, about 8:30, 9:00 tonight, you folks up sedona way, flagstaff, across the grand canyon and so forth, still some lingering showers, but after that everything will start to break up and clear out as we head through tonight and then on into your saturday. in fact the weekend looks like it's going to everybody. so get out and enjoy it. it really will be a terrific first full weekend of november. and we have got the numbers to prove it. you can look it up. >> no 80s? >> i don't say that kind of stuff unless i can back it up. i'm not one of these blow hards who is just going to go spouting his mouth off on a friday and then walk out. there's the ten-day. so you just take a picture of it. >> in all its glories. outside. love it. coming up after the break thousands of people evacuated from a las vegas hotel and casino, where things stand this afternoon. and sting is about to make a statement against terrorism using music. we'll explain. i'm hillary clinton and i approve this message. donald trump: i could stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot somebody and i wouldn't lose any voters, okay? and you can tell them to go f--- themselves! you know, you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, ever... you gotta see this guy. ahh, i don't know what i said, ahh.
