Directly above that barricade an 8hundred pound boulder hanging from tree limbs. Several other boulders are trapped behind the tree. This next round of rain could trigger those boulders to fall. There are already large dents on the asphalt below where other rocks fell in the past few weeks. But the damage it can do to a driver could be deadly. A car . Townsend and rowton say the recent rains have not only triggered Falling Rocks and boulders but mudslides as well. After weve had storm after storm when the ground gets saturated thats when it really starts to happen, its when you see the slides and things like that so its usually not the first few rains once the ground gets saturated it cant hold the water and its starts coming down. They expect more to comedown during this next round of rain as well. Its going to come down eventually, yeah, for sure. The area has gotten so dangerous crews in the area told us we needed to leave. You guys gotta go, you guys cant be here. While it may be dangerous. People who live here say the beauty of this canyon outweighs the risk. Thats just what happens when you live in the canyon, thats right. In the south bay. Water is flowing over the spillway of Anderson Reservoir for first time in more than a decade. The Santa Clara ValleyWater District opened the spillway. Water is rushing down the hill, creating a waterfall. Its a spectacular sight for families living in the area and out of towners. This is the First Time Since 2006 that this spillway has been used. No worries. The Santa Clara CountyWater District is trying to get water levels down to 68 percent as soon as possible. The Water District hopes that by releasing water from the spillway and an outlet down the hill. That water flowing over the dam will be avoided, especially since more rain is expected. At this point, neighbors dont fear nearby coyote creek will flood. Five oroville dam workers have been fired apparently for posting pictures of the problem areas of the oroville dam. And that seems to have violated a contract agreement. The contractor working on the project has a strict no social media, no photos policy. Some employees did not honor that contract, according to the department of water resources. Some have taken to social media saying they believe the workers are being wrongfully censored. Southern california continues to deal with dangerous storm conditions. Its led to flooding and major sinkholes. In the last 48 hours, at least five deaths have been blamed on weather there. He was walking down the street when a tree toppled over, according to los angeles police. The tree brought down powerlines, landing on cars and knocking out power in the area. Firefighters arrived on the scene and cut the lines. The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition and later died. Some neighbors say they were not surprised the tree fell. Lapd says the man either came in contact with the electrified lines or charged water. Officials do not know where the man was in relation to the powerlines or cars, but he suffered electrical shock. Platform bridge road in marin county is reopened this morning. This following the discovery of human remains at point reys National Park. Kron fours jeff pierce has the latest on the investigation. A search was conducted saturday morning for any evidence that might help unravel the circumstances of a gruesome discovery at Point Reyes National park on friday evening. Motorists came by on platform bridge road and have discovered some human remains. Those remains were in such a state of decomposition that indentifaction or even gender were not possible. Its too hard to determine at this point in time whether its a full set of human remains or just portions thereof. We cant tell. The Marin County Sheriffs Department enlisted these searchers in an effort to answer some the questions surrounding those remains. These are volunteers and paid staff from the marin county search and rescue and so theyre going to do a sweep through this general area along the creek to see if there is any other possibility of any other evidence that might be out there. The fbi was called in to participate in the investigation. The fbi are here because the remains were found on National Park service land. It will be up to the fbi to answer the questions of who this person was and how their remains ended up on platform bridge road. Its going to take some heavy duty forensics to figure that out. A search was conducted saturday morning for any evidence that might help unravel the circumstances of a gruesome discovery at Point Reyes National park on friday evening. Motorists came by on platform bridge road and have discovered some human remains. Those remains were in such a state of decomposition that indentifaction or even gender were not possible. Its too hard to determine at this point in time whether its a full set of human remains or just portions thereof. We cant tell. The Marin County Sheriffs Department enlisted these searchers in an effort to answer some the questions surrounding those remains. These are volunteers and paid staff from the marin county search and rescue and so theyre going to do a sweep through this general area along the creek to see if there is any other possibility of any other evidence that might be out there. The fbi was called in to participate in the investigation. The fbi are here because the remains were found on National Park service land. Platform bridge road in marin county is reopened this morning. This following the discovery of human remains at point reys National Park. Kron fours jeff pierce has the latest on the investigation. A search was conducted saturday morning for any evidence that might help unravel the circumstances of a gruesome discovery at Point Reyes National park on friday evening. Motorists came by on platform bridge road and have discovered some human remains. Those remains were in such a state of decomposition that indentifaction or even gender were not possible. Its too hard to determine at this point in time whether its a full set of human remains or just portions thereof. We cant tell. The Marin County Sheriffs Department enlisted these searchers in an effort to answer some the questions surrounding those remains. These are volunteers and paid staff from the marin county search and rescue and so theyre going to do a sweep through this general area along the creek to see if there is any other possibility of any other evidence that might be out there. The fbi was called in to participate in the investigation. The fbi are here because the remains were found on National Park service land. It will be up to the fbi to answer the questions of who this person was and how their remains ended up on platform bridge road. Its going to take some heavy duty forensics to figure that out. A report by the Civil Rights Commission was released friday. It doesnt find that any civil rights laws were broken. But it says that systematic racism and implicit bias helped create problems with Drinking Water.
