But, kron fours Spencer Blake reports, theres still a lot left to do before the street is back open. Reporter it wasnt a sinkhole that caused this mess in Pleasant Hill friday night water rising up to the curb of this strip mall, and even into some of the stores. It was a water main break a tenfoot section of pipe that cracked beneath contra costa boulevard. There was some buckling that happened, so that whole area, well need to grind it down and then repave. Today the southbound side of the road between woodsworth and gregory is completely shut down. This framing store isnt the only place closed for the day you can see how high the water got inside. Outside, the strip mall parking lot is covered in mud. Fire crews in el dorado and placer counties are still working to contain a wildfire thats been raging since tuesday. Marty Officials Say the trailhead fire, northeast of sacramento has already burned more than 32hundred acres. As well as threatening nearly 3 thousand homes. Mandatory evacuations are in place in parts of both counties. There are voluntary evacuations in other areas as well. The rugged terrain is forcing fire crews to rely heavily on air support. The fire is only 12percent contained. No structures have been damaged. No word yet on what caused the fire. Kern county fire Officials Say the deer fire began friday afternoon and has grown up to nearly 3square miles.
