This is day two of the siege taking place at the popular Westgate Mall in kenyas capital city, nairobi. So far 59 people are dead and at least 175 are wounded. And Officials Say right now the gunmen are Still Holding a number of people hostage. Were hearing possibly around 30 people are still trapped inside the mall. This is now about 30 hours after the mall first came under siege. Where gunmen shot down shoppers inside. Officials believe 10 to 15 gunmen are involved. Now isolated somewhere within the fivestory building. The alqaidalinked military group al shabaab, who is based in somalia, is claiming responsibility for the attack. We have overcome terrorist attacks before. We will defeat them, again near or borders. Terrorism, in and of itself is a philosophy of cowards. Which is now the deadliest terrorist attack in kenya since alqaida blew up the us embassy in 1998. Kenyas president who says some of his own relatives are among the dead. Addressed the ongoing attack. Among the 175 wounded, four are americans. The alqaida linked Group Alshabaab who claimed responbility, posted on its twitter feed that all muslims were escorted from the mall prior to the attack. And indicated the killings are in response to the presence of kenyan troops in somalia. Live in the newsroom Mike Pelton Kron 4 news a group connected to the Pakistani Taliban is claiming responsibility for the deadliest assault ever on Pakistans Christian minority. At least 60 people were killed and nearly 120 wounded when a pair of suicide bombers attacked a historic church. The attack happened as hundreds of worshippers were coming out of the all Saints Church to get a free meal on the front lawn. San jose police have made an arrest in the case of a double fatal hit and run accident that happened on labor day morning. Kron fours jeff bush has the latest. San jose Police Tracked down, 24 year old Danny Coleman of East Palo Alto and made the arrest on friday. Coleman is being charged with two counts of murder. Police say that he was driving recklessly and killed 63 year old Carman Zavala and her friend 62 year old christina Alvaro Deleon when he crashed his car into the car that the two women were in while on their way to work. It was 3 15 in the morning on labor day. Police say that coleman abandoned his silver mercedes and fled the scene of the accident and the investigation took several weeks to find him. The san jose covert Response Unit moved in and arrested coleman in union city. The District Attorney is charging coleman with the womens deathwhich count as the citys 37th and 38th homicide of the year. Family members say the victims were loving and hard working women. She was a very sweet sister and i loved her so muchshes a very good sister and an excellent worker. Everybody loved her. Reporter coleman is being held in the county jail without bail. Com president obama will remember the victims of the Navy Yard Shooting during a Memorial Service today. The service will take place later this afternoon at the Marine Barracks washington near the Navy Facility where Officials Say 34yearold aaron alexis fatally shot a dozen people last monday. The president and first lady will also visit with the victims families are the service. The white house says the president wants to mourn the loss of the life and share in the nations pain after another mass shooting. In chicago, mayor rahm emanuel is calling for an end to violence in the city. The mayor consoled grieving families after a gunman shot and injured 13 people at a park thursday night. A group of people were playing basketball around 10 15 in a South Side Park when the gunman walked onto the court and opened fire. Thirteen were hit including two teenagers and a three year old boy. Here is what mayor emanuel had to say about the recent shootings. We cannot allow this violence to continue it robs them of their youth and their childhood. And the families.
