And finally is this about free speech. In february, the city Council Voted to remove the statue but is on hold pending litigation. The move follows efforts by communities across the south to remove confederate iconography from public property. Many of those efforts were met with demonstrations. And saturday was no exception. The rally drew a number of counter protesting groups. nats the rally came one day after a large group of torchbearing white nationalists marched through the university of virginia campus. The faa is investigating but has not released the names of those on board. The chopper crashed in the woods near a home. Nobody on the ground was injured and no structures were damaged. People are coming together to stand up against White Supremacy. An emergency solidarity demonstration is being held right now in oakland. It started about an hour ago. This is one of more than a dozen of emergency rallies that are taking place across the country. Groups have gathered in berkeley, and are now here. Some of them coming from other parts of the state. And all in response to whats going on in charlotesville. People say theyre coming together to take a stand against the hate, bigotry and violence thats happening there. Some of the protesters here also parts of groups such as occupy oakland, black lives matter, lgbt advocacy groups, some of that are calling for President Trumps impeachment. We spoke to people who drove down here from sacramento with just hours notice. They say its important to them that theys how up so that the counterprotesters in charlotesville know they are not alone. After a security breach. The terminal had to be evacuated. And all bags needed to be rechecked. Travelers had to deal with major delays. Kron4s Ella Sogomonian is live at the airport with an update tonight. Ella how long were those delays this evening . Departing flights here at terminal a were delayed for two hourse. There was no real cause for concern it turned out to just be a mistake. Apparently some bags were checked in by an employee of an Undisclosed Airline carrier who mistakenly took them inside past security and into the terminal. That is against airport policy. Only carry on bags are allowed past that point. Because screenings are different between the two as many know there are certain items allowed only in checked bags and not on carry on bags the airport went the extra mile to ensure the safety of everyone by having both passengers and staff re screen. Considering thats more than 200 people the airport spokesperson credit tsa agents for acting quickly and restoring two hours. You know this was a major inconvienc for our customers and we are very apologetic about that. We know that some passengers were late to there destination today or didnt make it a connection. But we hope they understand this is for their safety and security. Two arriving flights were stalled on the tarmac for 25 minutes while at least 5 departing flights had to wait those two hours. Everyone impacted was able to catch a flight that waited on them and the situation was resolved by 5 thirty tonight. Live in san jose ellasogomonian kron 4 news. jr stone this afternoon in south san jose scary moments for several residents. A burning car on highway 101 that ran up a hillside sparked a grass fire. Around four pm. Crews had the fire under control. It burned about seven acres. No evacuations were ordered. Only car access to the affected homes was restricted so fire crews could get in and out. No injuries have been reported. jr stone evacuation warnings have been lifted after a fire broke out near Lake Berryessa in napa couny. The fire started at about one friday afternoon near highway 128 and sage canyon road. As of right now it has burned 114 acres and it is 80 percent contained. A woman notified police about the carjacking around four in the morning. Police were able to reunite the child with his mother a short time later. They say the child appers to be okay. The mothers car was on international boulevard and 66th avenue. Police are still searching for the suspects involved in the carjacking and kidnapping. jr stone the stockton woman accused of driving drunk as she live streamed her drive and the eventual crash that killed her sister says a mechanical problem may have caused the accident. According to a report obdulia sanchezs lawyer believes the crash was caused by wear and tear on a tire, causing it to blow out. The 18yearold pleaded not guilty to a half dozen felony criminal charges including felony manslaughter while intoxicated. If sanchez is convicted, she could spend more than 13 years in prison. jr stone former stockton mayor, Anthony Silva reaches a plea deal. Dropping three of his four charges. Silva had been accused of giving alcohol to camp conselors during a youth summer camp back in 2015. He was arrested at the camp last year in a raid that included federal agents. In hillsborough, Philippe Djegal, kron four news. jr stone marine experts say an Alarming Number of sea lions are being treated for poisoning linked to toxic algae blooms. The Marine Mammal center in sausalito says it has treated 68 sea lions suffering from domoic acid poisoning compared with 70 in all of 2016. Most of the animals are being rescued from the Central Coast and brought to the centerbut experts say domoic acid levels are creeping furhter up the coast. The sea lions are exposed to the toxins when they eat fish like sardines and anchovies. That consume the algae. jr stone a couple of swimming spots in the bay area are back open this weekend after being closed due to the toxic algae. The water has finally improved at Lake Temescal in oakland. It has been closed since the end of june due to bluegreen algae. The algae can make people sick and can kill pets. It is found in just about every body of water. But thrives in warm conditions. And the quarry lakes in fremont are also reopening this weekend. They had been shut down since february because of the same algae. Officials had to wait for the levels to be deemed safe. justine turning to weather now, meteorologist Lawrence Karnow has our forecast. Around the bay tomorrow we will see temperatures back into the 80s in the valleys with mainly 70s around the bay except the Santa Clara Valley where you will find low 80s. It will be foggy at the coast with highs in the 50s to mid 60s. Cooler weather is expected to start next week but warming will begin on tuesday. We could see some 90s in the valleys by the later part of the week. jrstone a skydiving excursion in central utah went terribly wrong thursday night. Two women were killed when their parachutes failed during a tandem skydive. Investigators say the instructor a california resident was very experienced. With more than 4,000 jumps under her belt. Witnesses say when the women jumped out of the small plane everything looked normal. But soon they realized something was very wrong. aaron burton witness they just spiraled basically all the way to the ground. Parachute was out the entire time they basically just corkscrewed into the ground. Pretty much horizontal the whole time. The two women were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead a short time later. Authorities say the first parachute was deployed but failed. The second parachute was then deployed but was not able to slow them down enough. Police are investigating why the parachutes failed to function properly. jr stone still ahead.
