(pam) bay area football fans are excited at the prospect of having marshawn lynch - a-k-a - 'beast mode' - as an oakland raider. according to a report from the n-f-l network, the east bay native has agreed to terms with the silver and black, but the raiders still have to work out trade details with the seahawks, who still own lnych's rights. kron four's spencer blake is live at the coliseum tonight. spencer, how did fans react? i've talked to raider fans, 49er fans, and even seahawk fans, and across the board - they were all happy to see a hometown player come back. the thought of seeing 'beast mode' tear his way into the endzone while wearing a raiders jerseyis almost more than fans in the black hole could dream of."cal guy, bay area, killer. yeah, great fit." marshawn lynch retired in 2016 after several seasons - and a super bowl win - with the seattle seahawks.but his hometown team seems to be the one that could pull him áout of retirement.his old j-v coach at oakland tech sees good things on the horizon. "marshawn's an oakland man, and i'm gonna tell you something right now - marshawn will send the oakland raiders to the super bowl."coach k.c. o-'keith has had a picture of his former player - seahawks jersey and all - on his phone for yearslong before he knew about this latest development. he will provide a joy for all the oaklanders who are upset with the fact that they are moving to las vegas."other teachers at the high school remember him well, too.dora hopson talked fondly of the time the five-time pro-bowler came back into town a few years ago to check on coach o'keith, who had been very ill in the hospital."he said, 'i'm trying to find out. i wanna know - what's wrong with the coach?! what's wrong with my coach?!'"o'keith's students didn't even know about his hospitalization, but somehow 'beast mode' found out."i'm a proud 49er fan, but i'm happy for marshawn to be on a team that i think he's always dreamt of being."even this fan from seattle likes the move everyone is talking about."i'd rather have him go to the raiders than to the patriots or any other team in our division."as it is, lynch already keeps a presence in oakland.the almost 31-year-old has his own beast mode store on broadway. again, seattle still has the rights to marshawn lynch, so even though he's on board with the raiders, the raiders have to get an official trade worked out with the seahawksthough most n-f-l experts think it will probably happen.live in oakland, spencer blake, kron four news. ( steve ) this drama is playing out on social media as well.(pam) grant lodes is here with that part of the story. (grant) lots of fans are going nuts over this one. lynch is a legend in the east bay... so people around here are super excited about the prospect. but others think the retired running back should stay retired because he's too old to be effective. let's start with the skittles popping man himself. lynch..tweeting just a few hours ago...@moneylynch:if u kno me you kno my business is my business and if u don't kno me that's a fun fact for ya... when áááástuffáááá get real i'll let you kno!!!! @jcmutyt: why are raiders fans excited to get lynch? the seahawks will happily take your pick for a washed up injury prone old running back @mattyórob can't remember the last time i bought a jersey, but i'm gonna need a marshawn lynch raiders jersey. it has to be done. and if the raiders were able to get this done...bring lynch home to end his career...it would be throwing fans a bone. fans that are currently upset, angry, sad, mad, all of it...over the team's departure for vegas in a couple years. gary will be here at 8:45 with his perspective on if it will happen...and what it means for the raiders if it does. (pam) it took a little longer for evening bart riders to get where they were going in the east bay.. bart tweeted this afternoon that passengers may experience up to 20- minute delays. bart blamed the delays on a trackside equipment problem. it affected trains in both directions between pittsburg=bay point and the north concord stations. passengers had to be transfered between the two stations by shuttles. (steve) bart is also experiencing problems at its newest station. one of the six escalators at the warm springs station is out of service. but a broken escalator is the least of most riders worries. many are more concerned about the lack of trains... or the need to change trains. you can get anywhere on the daly city line from warm springs. but if you're on the richmond line... you have to get off at the very next stop in fremont and transfer to another train. escalators are a common problem at other stations... but bart officials say the warm springs issues are not part of any particular pattern.
