it happened at the offices of the anti-defamation league kron-4's charles clifford joins us live from where it happened...charles where did the threat come from? more on our big story tonight...as a profound spike in anti-semitic threats...is a nation-wide problem. grant lodes is here with just how wide-spread this problem is. one of the most visually disturbing examples of this...hundreds of headstones...knocked over...at a jewish cemetery in pennsylvania yesterday. across the street...no vandalism at a christain cemetery. a reward is being offered to find the vandal. and that's just the beginning. cars...with swastika's keyed on them in miami beach.== also in south florida...a jewish school evaucated after a bomb therat was called in.== jewish community centers in new jersey, pennsylvania, rhode island, alabama...and elsewhere had to evacuate today because of similar threats. the anti- defamation league in san francisco counts at least 20 threats made today alone...and there were many over the weekend...targeting places where jewish people gather. just into the newsroom- we've learned a san jose man along with 3 other people are dead after a small plane crashed into two homes and sparked a huge fire in southern california. multiple teenagers are believed to be among those who died. 2 other people were injured. this happened in riverside. officials say there were 5 people on board the plane which was headed back to san jose after a cheerleading competition at disneyland. one of those passengers was a teenage girl who was ejected and had only minor injuries. the san jose man who died is believed to be the owner of the plane. the cessna 3-10 crashed shortly after taking off from riverside municipal airport headed for san jose. there will be months of flood cleanup ahead in san jose.. today the city gave an update on the damage, and on the help it has provided to flood victims. kron four's spencer blake is live in one of the neighborhoods where the water was waist-high last week. spencer, what have homeowners and tenants there been doing today? they've been pulling up flooring,drywall, and pretty much anything that has to be tossed.there are big piles of trash and recycling like this on several streets in the area. a lot more people are able to return home for good now. at a briefing today, the city manager's office said more than 850 units have gone from yellow tagged - meaning people can go in but they can't live there - to green tagged in just the last day.there's still plenty of cleanup to do in green-tagged homes.as for the yellow ones, a lot of those are still trying to get utilities turned back on.i ran into a landlord who had p-g-and-e out to check the gas lines for water.victor peres says a great tenant had to move out because there's so much damage he needs to take care of from the flood. "i'm trying to get everything all nice and clean, and you have to go with the bleach and antimicrobial bacteria killers."a woman down the street says the red cross is ástill around, providing clean-up supplies.there are still 120 people who have checked into the city's overnight shelter because they can't return home.san jose is offering a free taxi service to that shelter, by the way. assistant city manager dave sykes says the official damage tally is 50 million in the private sector. that's on top of 20 million dollars worth of damage to public property.coming up tonight at ten, see what's next for people who lost their cars in the floodwater.live in san jose, spencer blake, kron four news. in the east bay... a pair of major landslides have destabilized a highly used roadway in contra costa county. morgan territory road in clayton closed after last week's storms caused problems on two fronts. first a landslide caused the hill to slide above the road. then a water main broke under the road. that disrupted water for people who live there. some have been without water for days. in the meantime the county is handing out bottled water . neighbors say the detour around the closure is another problem... sometimes taking an hour extra. and in orinda p-g&e crews are working to fix a trasmission line tower... damaged in a mudslide last week. the crews are working to re-route the transmision line away from the mudlside area. once that is complete.... they will replace the damaged transmission tower. the cranes that were set up on highway- 24 ... have now been removed. p-g&e says, the work is not affecting service for customers. toss weather dry weather will return by tomorrow for our entire area. dry conditions will then persist through the end of the work week, along with a warming trend. a system moving into the pacific northwest this upcoming weekend may produce light rain especially on sunday. a bay area uber driver is recovering tonight... after being attacked by a passenger over the weekend it happened outside the century theaters in daly city. kron 4's dan kerman explains the circumstances surrounding this attack. if this black eye looks painful, it is, so is this puncture wound on the upper lip, uber driver john mohler got both saturday night from a passenger.sot it hurts, yes, it hurts it was about 9pm saturday when mohler received a pickup request for daly's city's century theaterstandup bridge dan kerman/daly city 17-25he explained the situation, asked the three to get out of the car and he said would cancel the ride, but they didn't get out so he got out, opened the front passenger door and let a man out then he opened the rear passenger door to let the two women out.sot john mohler/uber driver 40-50i just turn around and he punch me right here really hard, i go to the ground and he gots on top of me and hits me again in the face.mohler says in the nearly three years he's driven for uber there has never been violencesoti never think this is going to happen to methe three ran off before police arrived. authorities are now searching the area for surveillance video. for its part uber has cancelled the account of the female passenger who requested the ride sotthey cancel her account but i want justice for who did this to memohler is now waiting at home for that justice as headaches have left him unable to work for the past two days. which raises even more concerns.soti work for a living, i cannot stop working because we'll be living on the street, i have kids , my wife works, but she cannot support us by herself. standup dan kerman/daly city 147-157210/std the city of oakland making history -
