Authorities say the Pescadero Creek has been rising for several hours and the warning has been extended to 8 30 tonight. Residents and others in the area should move to higher ground. More than 6,000 bay area residents without power; most outages in north bay counties thousands of bay area residents were without power today as rain and wind pounded the region, a utility spokeswoman said. The majority of outages were reported in the north bay, where 5,300 customers were without power in marin, sonoma and napa counties as of 1 30 p. M. , pg e spokeswoman jana morris said.
