This happening at the Watsonville Municipal Airport just before 03 00pm plane that crashed into one of the airport hangar buildings there, the other in a field nearby. Now, Officials Say 2 people were actually onboard twin engine cessna 3. 40, on the other plane. A single engine cessna one. 52 and the pilot was the only person on board. No one on the ground was hurt. But the f a a says the pilots were on their final approaches to the airport when that crash actually took place. And i heard that and i threw kind of like playing like i like that. And right after that the collision like. Sound like a huge car collision right outside mouse. Heard a loud boom. Shook our rob yearold boy in the back. Theyre pretty hard. Walked out front here to the sidewalk. Big clue was low black and white and a lot of fire on the asphalt. Well, the victims in that crash have not been identified. The faa and the National Transportation safety board are all investigating. What led up to that crash and the city of watsonville tweeting a statement from mayor ari parker saying, quote, we are grieving tonight from this unexpected and sudden loss. I want to express my deepest and most heartfelt condolences. 2 teenagers have been arrested in connection to a shooting that killed a San Jose Grocery store worker back in june. The shooting was at safeway on hamilton Avenue Police say man, whos our was working inside that store and gotten into an altercation with the gunman before that shooting actually happened. Well, thursday, San Jose Police announced the arrest of these 2 men, 19 yearold jacob korea and of san jose and 18 yearold at 2 cola of utah. The 18 yearold is in jail in utah awaiting extradition to san jose. Well, the San Francisco district attorneys offices that felony charges have been filed against one of the people who attacked an elderly woman in the lobby of an apartment late july. Well, this elderly asian woman who was attacked by 18 yearold darryl moore is now charged with elder abuse, robbery, assault, assault and false imprisonment. Now the other suspects in the attack are just 14, 13 11 years old, the 13 11 yearold attackers were arrested. The da says the 13 yearold will be prosecuted through Juvenile Court once charges are officially filed and that 11 yearold wont be facing charges because of his age. And police have not found the 14 yearold yet. They are still looking at. Well, an Early Morning rain and several cities led to arrests linked to the bay area. In a letter to the oakland City Attorney, newsomes legal secretary says if oakland does not step up, the state funding will go to other cities to help in their fight against the homelessness crisis. Oakland officials have had plans to deal with those who are living on City Property but newsoms attorney and patterson accuses the city of only focusing on those people. Patterson writes, quote, the city suggestion that it has no responsibility for Homeless Individuals on state property unless there is a specific earmark is simply unacceptable. A federal judge has also criticized oakland as well as Alameda County and caltrans for not coming up with a good enough plan. Well here at home, Health Officials in the east bay are opening up an Online System to schedule appointments for the monkeypox vaccines. They nursed back to health, but they have one last obstacle to overcome successfully returning the bird back to the wild. Its a flying tails trip are calling the flight of the falcon. All we know is this bird was found injured near carlsbad and wildlife specialist said she was unlikely to survive in the wild. There was significant documentation of a lot of head trauma and a lot of it is shoes at that time. The Peregrine Falcon is considered the fastest animal on earth. Flying up to 200 miles an hour and snatched spray. And ive seen catch that on the wings. So as patrick flying out from, you know, routes, theyre just flying, catching them on air and land on the ground, just pull them apart. State fish and wildlife sent the bird to sonoma Wildlife Rescue near petaluma. We also have. Enclosure. Its actually called the raptor recovery center. Its 100 foot building with flight delays and an area where you could live test a bird of prey to make sure that they cant survived by catching their own. Pray. It was during its rehabilitation here that the doctor found that the bird and made a remarkable recovery and instead of living its life in an enclosure, it might be fit enough to be set free with to make sure that it still have the appropriate behavior temperaments and a wild animal. And we had to make sure that its flight capaeity was appropriate because it was an old wing injury as well. And so we went through all of parameters and over the course of a couple weeks that did but its a 500 mile drive to carlsbad added stress to an already high strong animal. The falcon was put in a small cardboard box. And within minutes we were airborne. 3 and a half hours later, we were turning for final at carlsbad. On the ground, we were met by volunteer Jerry Maguire who took possession of the falcon for the last phase. The release a few minutes later, he was at a nearby reservoir for the falcon that had been on them. And since last february, i was finally returned home. That is the war that we do this with birds, of course, just being able to see and said, take off and take flight.
