going after people. and as kron-4's kate cagle tells us, there has been one pellet- gun attack with a particularly hurtful sting. >> : very surreal. it's random. > >kate:it's the one place that's supposed to be sacred. >> : somebody shot at us. >> reporter :even if you don't fear god human dignity demands at least respect for those who come here. >> : i don't know7 or so shots. something like that. >> reporter :it was friday night in front of the methodist church on bancroft. a bb pellet hit scott bradey in the head. >> : it is in my head. it's still not out. right here. >> reporter :he was one of three random victims by a bb gunmanon march 25th. two hours earliera man was shot with a pellet standing outside a bar. twenty minutes latera woman shot in the hand near a bus stop. the violence followed three months of shattered car windows throughout san leandro the tally above 125 carsadding up to 60 thousand dollars in damage. >> : what was once a prank is now serious violence. >> reporter :police have released these images in hopes of tracking down the young men. one of the cars is a silver toyota 4runner with black wheels and off road tires. the fuel door on the driver's side of the car is either missing.or painted black. the damage they've already doneit will heal. but it won't be the same. it could have hit me in the soft spot of the temple and we're not talking at all. >> reporter :police have stepped up on marked patrols as they're trying to catch these guys in the action but investigators tell me it really will be a tip from the public that leads to a crack in the case as somebody out there knows these guys and the need to call the police >> pam :a former cal men's basketball assistant coach. who got kicked off the team for sexually harassing a female reporter. is fighting back tonight. yann hufnagel is on paid leave right now. his attorney has shared with kron-4. some of the 900 - text messages the two exchanged. during 20-14 and 20-15. the attorney says, these messages show the reporter initiated many of their conversations. and says, nothing inappropriate happened. in one text. she calls hufnagel her quote - "favorite assistant coach." his attorney tells us. they released the new text messages to help clear his name. and adds, there were no unwelcome advances on his part. cal expects to have its final review complete this week. hufnagel's attorney tells kron 4. if cal upholds his termination. they will be ready to pursue all their options. this is the latest of a series of harassment claims at u-c berkeley. on march 10th. u-c berkeley law school dean, sujit choudry, resigned after his executive assistant sued him for repeatedly kissing and touching her. astronomy professor geoff marcy stepped down in october of 2015. after four students accused him of harassment. and former u-c berkeley vice - chancellor graham fleming resigned last year. after his former assistant accused him of sexual harassment. new at 11. bart says, it still has not figured out a mysterious electrical glitch.which has been damaging train cars between the north concord and pittsburg stations. this past weekend. the transit agency tried running full trains between the two stops. but the mysterious glitch returned. bart says, until the problem is solved. commuters will see a mix of shuttle trains and regular trains between concord and pittsburg. repair crews are also still working to fix the cars that were damaged last month by power surges. bart has not said when it expects all the trains to be back in service. a wayward sea lion was found wandering on highway- 37. shutting down the roadway for about 15- minutes. rescue workers from the marine mammal center caught the animal and say, he has brain damage from ingesting domoic acid that is the same toxic chemical that delayed the dungeness crab season for months this year. kron four's jeff bush has the latest. >> jeff :the marine mammal center says this sea lion, named school daze, had to be rescued because he wandered onto highway 37when rescue workers arrived on scene they discovered school daze was confused and not acting like a healthy sea lion shouldit was later determined that school daze is suffering brain damage from domoic acid. the center has dealt with school daze before.veterinarians discovered a mmc tag from an earlier stay at the center. he was released back into the wildalong the farallon islands at the beginning of the year and there was a hope that would be the last time he would be seenbut he has been spotted in several odd locations since his release. scientists say the animal has domoic acid poisoning and it is affecting his brain function. domoic acid has been in higher than normal concentrations in the pacific ocean for about a yearand, it is the same chemical that was found in dungeness crabsshutting down the season until just last week. veterinarians say it is hard to tell where school daze ingested the domoic acidthey suggest that he may have gotten it from his mother's milk and is suffering a long lasting effect as a result. marine mammal center officials say that school daze is recovering at the center and more tests are scheduled for this week to determine the extent of his brain damage. i'm jeff bush in marin county, kron four news. new at 11. the group -
