day.not too far away, in napa, hail was coming down along with the rain. the hail was a little bigger than the size of a pea and was not big enough to cause any damage but an indication of the unstable, cold air aloft. interesting cloud formations could be seen in the distance and, a rainbow formed over walnut creek for about 30 minutes. drivers were on edge as the first real storm blew through the bay area. windshield wipers were in the on position all afternoon long. regardless of the inconvience of the rain, most people were happy to see it coming down from the skythe drought was gabbert. gary radnich will have more later in sports. new tonight at 11. san francisco police are asking for the public's help. identifying a wanted homicide suspect. officers say, on october first. 60-year-old marc garcia was assaulted by a man on bush and van ness streets. garcia was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. today, police have released this survaillence video. hoping the public can identify this suspect. police say, he is believed. to have been working in the construction trade in san francisco. on the day of the assault. anyone with information is asked to call police. friends and family are mourning the deaths of two east bay high school students. who died in a crash over the weekend. the students were friends and classmates at college park high school. tonight. the school choir was scheduled to sing the national anthem before the warriors game. one member of the choir named julia. whose cousin died in the crash. said, she made tonight's performance a tribute to the victims. >>:there was a lot of emotion here obviously with what happened >> pam :the driver, and lone survivor, also attends college park high school. she is a 16- people working on the legalization intiative- among them - napster co-founder sean parker.. submitted the' adult use of marijuana act' today. it would allow marijuana to be legally sold and used by adults for recreational use. the proposed initiative is one of more than a dozen. that has been filed with the attorney general's office for the november 2016 election. california doctors. who are on probation. are not required to tell their patients. a recent effort. would have forced doctors to notify patients. when they make appointments. but the medical board of california has rejected that effort saying. the requirements were too broad, and might interfere with patient care. about 500 doctors in the state are currently on probabtion. the medical board does make probation information available on its website. but many patients do not know how to access it. the board did vote. to look into other options. coming up. because of the drought. watering your lawn after a storm - like the storm. was breaking state law. and they probably didn't even realize it. there is a new state law. that went into affect in april. which restricts watering of landscape or turf for 48 hours after rainfall. that means no sprinklers, no hoses. and people are required to turn off irrigation systems. the marin municipal water agency says, it is not going to worry about fines for people who disregard the law at this point. but because of the ongoing drought. the agency wants to remind people this law is on the books and fines are possible. we have been showing your pictures and videos
