Police arrested 16 people who they say are involved in rival east oakland gangs. They were arrested during a series of raids in oakland. Berkeley. San leandro and stockton. Oakland police say, the 65th avenue and 69nth avenue gangs. Are among the most violent in the bay area. Todays arrests came after an investigation into a shooting last year. Police believe it was gang related, and sparked retaliatory shootings. Officials say. Those arrested today are believed to have also participated in other shooting incidents, assaults, burglaries, robberies and possibly cold case murders. It has been two years since the installation of the lights on the bay bridge and people are dazzled by them. But they will be going dark for a while after tonight. Temple isaiah administrators say they are cooperating with the police investigation. Klaas said that parents should talk to their children if their kids are fouryearsold or older. When talking to your children, klass says to keep it siimple and use age appropriate language so that your children can understand the concept you are talking about. they can understand that their body belongs to them. Los altos police held two Community Meetings this week after home burglaries continue to rise. According to los altos police, last year the city saw a 50 percent increase in burglaries. The trend continued in january and february of this year. Police chief tuck younis believes that many of the burglaries are being committed by people that live in other areas and target los altos.
