No matter what neighborhood youre in you dont like the idea of your kids being potentially. Chirstman moved into a home tucked behind this long driveway on walnut boulevard last week, after moving out of another residence in bay point. Hes a registered high risk sex offender on megans law website. Hes also required to check in with the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office every 90 days to ensure hes in compliance with the law. I think its terrible. Since christmans address is in an unincorporated county area. The Sheriffs Office, not the Walnut Creek Police department, is the agency tasked with monitoring his activities. The Sheriffs Office says they learned of christmans move on wednesday. And, out of caution, not by law. Deputies went doortodoor thursday passing out fliers, detailing christmans past and warning hes now a neighbor. In 1989, he was convicted of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age. Then in 93, he served time for oral copulation. In every direction from this mans house, um, there are little children. A representative from Liberty Health would only confirm that christman is under their supervision. The Sheriffs Office says Liberty Health helped place christman here, but the representative wouldnt explain the reasoning behind it. I cant comment on anything. Its a tough situation because i realize that he has to live somewhere and i appreciate that and i appreciate people getting second chances, but i think this is not an appropriate neighborhood.
