Its been lifted after there was a situation of downed Chemical Plant<\/a>. We wait for details on what caused the Public Health<\/a> alert in the first place. Reporter theyre cleaning up out here but the Public Health<\/a> advisory that was issued around 3 00 this morning was lifted at 5 00 a. M. , and they continue to trying to investigate exactly what happened. Heres video from earlier this morning. According to dal chemical, he said that around 2 50 this morning in a part of the plant that was in production, something happened, and it released a plume up into the air of chemicals that they were mixing together. It was a number of chemicals. They locked down that part of the facility, they sheltered in place, all of those employees inside that part of the facility. At that point the Public Health<\/a> advisory was issued for people who have respiratory problems. Now what happened . Theyre not sure but we did have a chance to talk to the spokesperson and he said this about the incident. One of our pieces of equipment is designed. We have what i would call a High Pressure<\/a> if you will. Its designed to release so it doesnt do something worse than just release. So it let this plume up into the air and within 10 minutes or 15 minutes it settled back down into that area. So that whole area is quartered off. Everybody is in place and folks are in clean up mode right now. How long is that going to be the case . I dont know the answer to that. I talked to him about a half hour ago. Thats still the case. Theyre still inside with hazmat suits. I can tell you around and in this plant there are monitoring devices that they say they checked and have been checking. So far nothing has left the plant. Then temperatures will warm up to the mid to upper 60s and winds will also pick up from the west to northwest from 10 to 15 miles per hour. Were going to be across the south bay, temperatures are going to warm up in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Were going to continue with a mix of sun and clouds. By the lunch hour, those clouds are moving on out. Its still going to be a warm day across the south bay especially across inland areas. Temperatures will warm up to the upper 80s and stay in the 70s for much of the afternoon. Its going to be sunny and warm and stay hydrated if youre going to be outside. If youre across the peninsula slightly different story. Temperatures will be closer to our daytime high. Temperatures are warming up to the upper 60s. Some areas could warm up into the lower 70s this afternoon. Across the bay we have mid70s and upper 70s across the north bay and delta. Slightly milder for tomorrow with temperatures in the upper 70s across inland locations for the bay, low to mid70s and then we start the warming trend back up for the second half of the weekend into early next week.
