This morning detectives and police are called to the scene and at 3 store unit apartment complex and that is where they found the body of a man who was stabbed at least once in the lobby. The the person was pronounced dead and basically the locked down this entire building hoping to find evidence. Police were going up and down the fire ladder to get 10 and out of the building pripe. People were brought outside and there were questions. The theyre not releasing any information about the suspect or suspects. As far as the victim, they stated it was a male victim was pronounced dead. As i get more information i will pass along to you. They are starting to wrap up the investigation. A chimney fire led to an explosion in a pinole valley home. When the first crews arrived on scene, they saw flames coming from the second story. Shortly thereafter, an explosion of smoke blew out second story windows, damaged the roof, and blew the second story rear wall out a foot and a half. There were no injuries, as all the occupants had evacuated. Crews say the fire was caused by a breach in the wood stove flue pipe. The Pinole Fire Department recommends to have your chimney or wood stove inspected and cleaned annually by a certified chimney specialist. New this morning, a man was arrested for stealing a car after a police chase in santa rosa. An officer spotted a driver in a stolen vehicle traveling east on west steele lane near plata court. The officer attempted to stop the car, but the driver kept going, and didnt stop at several red lights and stop signs. It wasnt until the area of steele lane and north street, when the vehicle had mechanical problems and stopped. 22yearold dan cotton was taken into custody and booked for reckless evading, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. The brain dead girl was removed from Childrens Hospital oakland late last night to an undisclosed facility. Last night we presume the that she is with her mother but the family is started with the information because they fear for her life as well as their own life. Here is a picture of her when she came to the hospital back in december. She died three days later in the family said this she was still alive and they still believe dishy is a lie. The hospital stated she is brain dead and abroad and other doctors also said this she was brain dead. The family were able to remove her body due to a court order. This may be a local facility or maybe it is some place in new york. We have no clue at this time but i had a chance to talk with the town is attorney and this is what he had to say. The hospital said that the family is unreasonable because they do not want to let go of a dead body. This is not a political campaign, this is a person. This is her family. We should be able to give people hope. We should not shut down the schools, the charges, the hospital should be available for that. The hospital released a statement and you can look at your screen they stated that the body was released from Childrens Hospital. There release to the body to the custody of the mother. As per court order, she is an unknown destination and that their heart goes out to the family. They wish to from the closure in peace.
