said the southwest airlines click them off of the airplane during a layover because they were crying to much. southwest says they have no record of anyone being kicked off the flight. they were headed to texas to see their father who was on their deathbed. they were upset over the health of their father and not being destructive. >> i was bawling my eyes out, clearly upset, but i never said one thing to another passenger, i kept to myself. i did not have a glass of wine or any drinks on the airplane. i just feel like someone used some power and they should not have made a prejudgment about where i was coming from. >> i sense tension with the stewardess. i sense that something would happen. i have heard about things like this happening before. i was not necessarily a surprise when they pulled me aside and said we're going to have someone talk to you. i certainly did not think it would go that far. i thought that it would listen to our side of the story. >> southwest airlines said that if a passenger is determined to be destructive, the flight crew is distrusinstructed to use thet judgment. >> we are five days away from the u.s. government being able to borrow money to pay bills. now, the house of representatives will be voting today on a gop plan created by house speaker john maynard. even though the plan is dead in the water, and his plan would cut spending by more than 900 billion over 10 years. it raises the debt ceiling for only about six more months before a second vote would need to be taken. over in the senate, democrats have said that they will not support the gop plan because it could mean another risk of a government defaults and force cuts to programs like medicare. president obama said he would veto the plan. democrats are supporting a senate plan brought by majority leader harry reid that would raise the debt ceiling to the end of 2012, past the presidential election. if a deal is not reached by august 2nd, the u.s. government will no longer be able to borrow money to pay bills. with that, americans could be seeing higher interest rates on loans, credit cards and mortgages. a declining u.s. dollar and a partial government shutdown. >> we are just getting this mass into the newsroom as a tropical storm don that will have the coast of texas this weekend. here is the projected path. this shows where it is expected to make landfall. it could hit texas late friday or early saturday and a large area of the southern golf course is now under a tropical storm watch. since it is so hot, this committee cool them off a little taking drugs. congress failed to recertified the faa last friday. since the faa is not currently certified, that are not collecting a 10 percent ticket tax. the airlines are saying they are not required to issue a refund. most airlines are pocketing the extra money. some airlines are directing customers to call the irs. >> exxon mobil reported second quarter earnings today. they are up to 41% from last year, the largest publicly traded oil company recorded a profit of $10.7 billion. this is driven partly by higher gas prices but exxon and mobil fell short of earnings expectations. john boehner. how are you expecting to vote? >> no. that would clearly put social security and medicare and the whole and cause a significant reduction in benefits for seniors. i will not go there. >> sender reed says even if this passes the house and it makes it way to the senate, it is dead on arrival. the president said he would be to this proposal. why is the house even having a vote? >> i think john boehner needs to prove to his secret caucus that he is a tough the bill is very radical and it does nothing to create jobs. we will probably lose about 700,000 jobs beginning in october of this year because it cuts back on federal money for contrast and highways and all sorts of other things. >> senator reid has his own plan. is it possible that his plan could come to a boat too late to get is in before august 2nd? >> it is we will see. there is a fail- safe. that is a man in 14, section 4 of that amendment does allow the president, i believe, the authority to pay the bills. it says that american debt shall be honored. >> there is a lot of question about that, whether or not the president has that authority this or it is the fourteenth amendment providing that authority to congress. you believe the president has the authority on his own? >> i think we need to fail safe. it is unconscionable that republicans would create or manufactured a crisis that we did not have the half. " we have to do with the overall deficit, that is a long-term problem. we have to create the jobs for people to be able to pay taxes. those are things we must do. to use the debt ceiling as a lever to put in place policies that do not put people to work but would actually cause people to lose jobs is wrong. to that is what the republicans have done. i believe the fourteenth amendment as a fail-safe. >> we are one of few industrialized nations that has a debt ceiling. you think having one is a good idea? >> no. this issue arises from time to time. it has doubled to prevent to annual deficits. house what we need is what president clinton did, that is putting in place reforms that action will lead to a balanced budget. he did it when he was president. we know how to do it, we need to do it again. that is the balanced approach is that president obama suggest we put in place but has not been able to get traction, not in the house of representatives. >> it does appear that the vote for john boehner may pass the house but will not pass the senate. will the plan for senator reid, doesn't have a chance of passing in the house? >> think that it does. we are down to crunch time. we will see what happens. of course, there is a fail-safe that ultimately the president could in vote the fourteenth amendment. >> we will see what happens. everyone is, what happens. i represent in john garamendi. they can join us. six >> we are moving on to some weekend weather. heavy rains pounded parts of illinois prompting forecasters t
