The scene has been cleared out here and ill step out of the way and you can see where theyre doing that work there. Here, 18th avenue, a few construction workers out here finishing up. Take a look at the pavement. Investigators were out here looking at all aspects, and they had a good portion closed near 18th avenue in the sunset district. You can see the steam roller and also see members of the San Francisco Police Department investigating as well as cal osha. They were out here trying to figure this out. As of right now, we do not know how this happened. We know there was a Third Party Construction crew doing work for the city when this took place. This all happened to an elementary school, and i talked with a principal who said none of the kids saw what happened but one of the teachers did. One teacher said she saw the whole thing happened and it was an awful tragedy. Reporter there you go. We know this happened shortly after noon. There are some construction crews on the scene, working on the areas, and we have not seen them use the steam roller since this afternoon. And i can tell you that an investigator for the District Attorneys Office was out here investigating. And as he was leaving, i asked if they were investigating just an accident or Something Else and he tells me they had no comment. The investigation is still ongoing. Authorities released new photos, a new wanted poster and detailed his identifying tattoos, and the Orange County sheriff has been grilled over the escape of another of the three men, considered the ringleader and considered particularly brutal, accused of kidnapping and torture. Just a short time ago, authorities said a teacher has been arrested, a woman who taught english as a second language to the inmates. They believe she might have provided supplies to the men before they cut themselves out of the Orange County central jail on friday. Pam . Three suspects were arrested after an early on morning car burglary. And now, police are investigating whether the same suspect from the car burglary are linked to an Armed Robbery from Late Wednesday night. That happened about a mile away. The officers First Responded to a robbery about 11 45 wednesday night. The suspect fled the apartment with a laptop. While the officers were searching for them. Reports of a car burglary came in about a mile away. The suspects from the Armed Robbery matched the description of the car burglary. In east san jose, three people were taken into custody. Police say all three have criminal backgrounds. The man accused of sexually assaulting and killing a 2year old was in court. Manuel Anthony Lopez was charged with murder while committing a lewd and lascivious act on a child under 14. Lopez had raped, beaten, and suffocated the boy while the childs mother had slept in the next room. He is held without bail in the Santa Clara County jail and is scheduled to return february 2. According to police, he tried to Pass Security when he was found in possession of firearms and bullets as well as a quran. He was found and detained with a woman near the hotel. You can see it happened in front of the familys home on beck street near south street. Police say that little girl was running outside to say goodbye to her dad. Police say it was a case of what they call goodbye syndrome. There is data out there that explains a hundred of these accidents that occur every post. And half of those accidents with children, Young Children between the age of one and three. Half of them die from these accidents. It is quite a problem in our country. No charges will be filed against the family. A construction worker is being treated after getting run over by a steamroller today. Firefighters were called to the area of 18th avenue and vincente street afternoon today. They arrived to find the 50 yearold man on the ground near a construction roller. The man was working on a city road project for a contractor lc general engineering and construction. He was taken to San Francisco hospital with serious injuries. And there is breaking news out of San Francisco. Thats where crews worked feverishly to demolish a home before the next round of rain rolls in. Officials determined that it whats a dangerous condition to slide down the hillside. It had to be destroyed before it damaged other homes. We were first on the scene. We have the latest. Charles. Reporter just to the south of mt. Davidson. Crews will be back in the morning and trying to demolish this building after fears it could slide down the hill. Families did not move in the structure. It started off last saturday when a neighbor noticed it. And the owners were out of town and by sunday the crack had gotten bigger and there were soil samples taken and determined it was a danger it could slide down the hill. So on tuesday they red tagged it and condemned it and the owners hired a contractor and the contractor started to tear it down. Now the owner of the homes name is ronald and he was here all day watching the work and says that his family is devastated and hoped that this would be a dream home. It was a great home and wonderful views. All right.
