tree and died at northstar. and earlier last week, an employee at sugar bowl. an 18 year old from brazil skiing on his day off hit a tree and was also killed. the sheriff's department says if the skiers were wearing helmets they would have had a better chance of surviving. most skiers also say a helmet is one of the most important safety devices they own. >> photos posted on instagram by a member of the wisconsin national guard has caused an uproar on social media. this is one of the photos, where 14 soldiers were seen joking around in front of what authorities say was an empty coffin draped with the american flag. the wisconsin national guard has responded to the incident and saying they are appalled by the offensive photos and comments that appeared on this soldier's social media site, and has ordered an investigation into the matter. the instagram account where these pictures were posted have been taken down. >> a new report says that the state's two major political parties are losing ground as more voters are not say what party they side with. the secretary of state's office says the new 44% of the state's 17.6 million voters registered as democrats. that is down 1% from four years ago. republicans make up about 29 percent of registered voters, down 2%. voters with no party preference increased slightly to 21%. >> the san francisco international airport had the busiest year ever in 2013. a record-setting 45 million passengers passed through sfo last year. this is more than any other year in the airport's history. airport officials say it was the third year
