collect 55,000 signatures to get a november. existing solar customers say the new math makes it impossible for them to recoup their solar investment. across town, other supporters were marking a small victory. they were able to convince the puc to hold another meeting to reconsider grandfathering in existing residential solar customers at the old rates. critics say the decision is not only hurting them but killing jobs and destroying the rooftop solar industry here in nevada. >> we hope to accomplish shedding light on the fact that a three-person commission nominated by the governor has effectively killed an entire industry. >> i want the puc to think about the impacts of their decision and not just for those who have already invested but for the many we hope will invest in the keenan blackmore in the death of grant watkins. this brings the number of people arrested 27. according to detectives, aid group -- group of young men set out to rob watkins of marijuana. that's when things went wrong and someone opened fire killing him. sheriff's officials say they believe they have no arrested the core group of offenders. the same or arrest could come later. anyone with information is asked to contact the carson and nevada highway patrol trooper was arrested friday morning in reno for allegedly driving drunk. this is according to the nevada department of public safety. trooper christopher wirtanen is cooperating with all the tests involved. he is on paid leave. he has not been working the roads as the arrest. his arraignment is set for february 1. hydrometer this is about four vehicles. right now on south mccarron, it is closed between south virginia and dearborn. this appears to be more than your typical traffic accident. some witnesses have told us that they saw a car driving very fast . he got of his car with a knife and possibly heard shots fired. please have not confirmed what transpired here but as you can see, there are criminal tax on the road marking some bloody clothes that were left behind. we did see one victim taken away by an ambulance. the gang unit is on scene investigating. we do not expect the road to be open anytime soon. right now, we are waiting for police officers to confirm what happened here, what went on more than this traffic accident cars. you can see it looks like it was a bad accident. three cars in the front end noticed a huge drilling rig up by white lake near cold springs and it caught her attention and some of her neighbors. she wants to know, what is it they are working on their? we took a drive up to white lake to find out. we got about halfway around the lake and noticed the project that is being referred to. process of testing a new well. i spoke with tom gallagher with nevada water solutions at the site. he said the cruiser just drilled a new well for a private utility known as utilities inc. the well is 430 feet deep and will pump 1000 gallons of water per minute once the testing is finished. that will be enough to supply several thousand homes with water. those are homes which are part of that private utility district . also, some new homes which will be built there in the future as we are growing in that area. that is what they're working on. they been added since december. they will be testing the well as you see here, for another couple of days. the water you see a chasing them. his car, possibly with a knife. the next thing they heard, multiple gunshots. so far, at least one victim was taken to the hospital. we do not know the extent of the injuries so far. officer broadway. tell me what happened here? how many officers involved? >> we had two officers involved that responded to this call this evening. >> i saw there was a major traffic accident, what events transpired? >> officers were dispatched shortly after 5 pm. dispatch received additional calls from some people involved in the accident that one of the drivers involved was acting erratically. when officers arrived, he encountered the officers and was acting erratically. at some point, shots were fired and that subject is deceased. >> are the officer is okay? >> the officers are okay. we are investigating the accident with the other pedestrians and drivers involved. we will have more details on that later. >> involved with the officers, yes. as far as traffic accidents, we are still investigating the accident as well. >> reporter: also, how long do you think this will be closed? this is a busy intersection. >> due to the fact that there was an officer involved shooting and the
