Of it in this. Jessica this film, like the movies of my youth, you know, interview with the vampire and dracula with gary oldman, it is a similar in toto to those. Its a mixture of genres. Its s rilling, its a drama, happens to be a a ost in it. Hes agelesnd the worlds last witch hunter. A washedchch up the ultimate comeback. A rock star with a secret. Repororiew. And this Haunted House wont leave its occupants e. New in theaters. Your immortality has made you the greatest soldier of the axe and cross in a war between our world and the next. Vin diesesespends his immortal lififkeeping evil at bay in the last witch hunter. You know people shouldnt move around in their past. Some things are best left forgotten. Vin as a dungeons and dragon player as a kid, i was very much into fantasy. I liked how it was a fantasy story told in a modern day setting. The idea of immortality is fascinating, the idea of playing an 800yearold character is challenging in a fun way. I do gravitate towards these characters that could be challenging at times, but i also dont know if i would have filmed it right when i filmed it. I was preparing to take a yeye off after r urious 7. Last year was a dark year and were just kind of coming out of that but then the studio successfully secured michael cane because he was retiring and he said he got an offer he couldnt refuse. He loved the character. Youre a dream walker. Get out. I need you to take me to the dream world. Its the only way to fight whats coming. Rose theyve long held a kind of malevolent hold on our imagination, witches have, and thats dating back to a very long time, and so it was cool to play a witch whereby she is modern day and she doesnt necessarily dress like one would assume, and you know shes essentially good. Shes nononasty. Shshs not kind of like out for your blood. So it was a good kind of like, it wasas good way to shift it. One means nothing, two a coincidence, three trouble. Elijah its like a modern action fantasy with witches. Its an entirely new mythology, the film sets it up with a little bit from the past, establishing who kaulder, vin diesels character is. How he became immortal and how hes this immortal witch hunter keeping black magic at bay and humanity safe, then thrust into the modern world and you realize that were surrounded by witches. All of them are legal, its ok, theyre white witches. Theyre not going to going to hurt humanity, but theyre around us and i found that kind of fasasnating. It was a real interesting worldd to be sort of in a modern day setting and to sort of populatee it with thesespeople that could say witch hunter. Witch hunter. More from hollywoods biggest thank you for joining us. Lets get more hollywood news. Three years without a word, what do you want . I want to make my kitchen the best in the world. Service . Yes, chef . Bradley coooor stars as a burned out chef trying to make his big comeback in burnt. Adam jones is now one of the best and most interesting places in london to come and eat. Which part of that dont you like one of or interesting . I dont want my restaurant to be a place where you come and eat. I mean we should be dealing in culinary orgasms. Bradley we shot it right after sniper and thats where you could see the sort of weight loss as it happens oddly. But yeah no, i just begged her to do it. I thought, wow, shed be great as this role, she would kill it and she does. She was just incredible. Sienna i would do anything with bradley. We worked so well together and get along incredibly well as people. And i think we trust each other enormously, and you find that every now and then, a kind of symbiotic relationship with someone where youre willing to push the other one to places where you wouldnt otherwise go. But at the same time, it was pretty hysysrical to have been these he was 250 pounds with dip in his mouth and a texan drawl playing one of the most well, the most lethal sniper in American Military history and then the next minute, hes throwing a pan in my head. So you really got a sense of the schizophrenic nature of what we do. This is the dish. You are looking at that all the time, yeah . Yes, chef. You have eyes on it the whole time so it can pass. Yes, chef. Yeah . Look at me. Yeah . Yes, chef. Bradley i had the benefit having worked in restaurants, in this environment since i was about 15. I first worked as a busboy at a greek restaurant, so it was the first time i was made aware just how pressure filled a restaurant is. And also, the pressure of having to deliver food in a certain way at a certain time and if not, you u re done, i mean, you were dede. That was invaluable, a a then, in terms of this specific c vie, we had access to marcus wareing, who was the consultant who created all of the dishes. He was there on set behind the monitor every day. All the other chefs that are, that you see behind us in the kitchen or around us, theyre actual cooks in kitchens around london. There were no actors. So we all had the pressure of having to not be those, like, actors pretending to do it because it was a functional kitchen, shes over a stove that is 120 degrees burning herself, were cutting ourselves all day long, really cooking food, and there were no stunt doubles. There were no cooking doubles. All the shots are us. Youre the ogre, the one who shouts. Yes, but i bake great cakes. Good . Ive had better. Really . Have e u ever wanted a secrcr identity . Ome on, jerrica. Sing one of your songs. How do i look . Oh, my god. Youre internet famous. After becoming a music sensation overnight, Aubrey Peeples tries to keep her identity a secret and let her rockstar alter ego take the spotlight in jem and the holograms. Jerrica benton, you are cute and quirky and no longer jerrica. What do you mean . What do i mean . What do you mean what do i mean . Aubrey we really wanted to focus on kind of the prefame, like who are these girls before they get famous. So we really wanted to focus on their rise to fame. Selfexpression, selfempowerment is so driven by what you post online today so i think that we added that element to make it really relevant. Stefanie one cool thing about the film is that a lot of the original fans of the show jem and the holograms got to be involved with the making of the films so people were cast off youtube. I know zipper was cast off of youtube and a lot of the characters, well, obviously in the movie, they show a lot of people submitted videos about how jem inspired them and what they like to do with their lives and how they want to help people in the world with inspiring people. Jem is glamour and glitter, fashion and fame, and i cant imagine how tempting it might be to lose yourself to Something Like that. When i look at you, i dont see jem. In my eyes, youre the same incredible girl that i sang with under the pier that night. Ryan it was just, it was very eccentric, very vibrant lively cartoon n d this film just captured this aw this energy that jem originally had in the 1980s and then just amplified it with all the viral videos and the social media content now and everything has just become this massive jem and the holograms. Stefanie we had so much fun. We performed for 12 hours straight overnight, so it would be like 6 00 p. M. To 6 00 a. M. , same crowd over and over, the crowd was into it at all hours. It was amazing. It was like a huge party. I love the hair and makeup. It took us, i think, around three hours to get our makeup and hair done in the performance scene. Aubrey the hair and makeup is really kind of the most or the thing thth translates most from the series to the movie. I think we really did a good job, in my opinion, of paying homage to the looks of the characters. Haley my favorite moment was the hair and makeup. There was no rules, no boundaries. And it was like, go crazy. And we were just it was just so awesome. Aurora i did two weeks of drum lessons with a teacher and then we all together rehearsed as a band without the instruments turned on or without my full drum set and kind of just ran around and acted crazy. Jon when you have actors that can sing like aubrey, like stefanie, like haley, like aurora, the world is our oyster when you get them on stage. They come to life, their characters come through their song, comes through their movement and i think thats the power of our story. Yes, its a coming of age story. Yes, its a rise to fame story. Yes, its a weird scifi story with a robot that beatatoxes, but ululmately its these e rls story being sisters and having em come through the other tunnel. Show time, synergy. There is more hollywood news lets take a look at more films from the hollywood news report. Wiggle out. Jump. Run. Somebody. Im scared. Brie larson is kidnapped and forced to spend most of her life locked away in room. Jack, listen to me, this is our chance. Brie the storyline is actually Pretty Simple in some ways and so there was so much thought that had to go into it. Like so much thought that had to go into every little piece of room and what room looked like. And jacob and i had to spend a lot of time, we spent three weeks doing the drawings and building the toys and creating a solid friendship and making this world for ourselves, along with the other prep that you have to do in order to get to that point. And then it was almost a 50day it was very long shoot and so you just hope because you put all thisisime and effort into it becaususyou love the story s s much and for i ito hit the point that something that we crafted and love has become something that other people have connected to and loved, its a very special experience. I guess they still cant hear us. Brie theres a lot of things about room that are rather draining for her. So lack of vitamin d being a huge drain, lack of nutrition being another drain, being the constant source of entertainment of a 5yearold is so much work and you dont have the option to say, you know, go outside and play or go to school or go play with your friends, you are the constant life source of this other person and because he is has in her life, there is this push and pull between having moments of just exhaustion and wanting to shut out, and then the only person that i have. You are going to love the world. All right, its my turn. Were at the heller household, subject claims sighting of true apparition. W wt is it . When ali larterers family is plagued by a supernatural entity, she enlists a scientist to help her destroy it in the diabolical. You okay . It must have gone away. Ali one of the things that really drew me to the diabolical was the character of madison, and shes a single mom whose son is going through a really difficult time, and kind of watching her see her child struggle and hows shes just trying to kind of lead him in the right direction. And at that point, you know these things just keep happening to him and a social worker comes to the house and questions her as a mother, and how you deal with those things. Shes just trying to piece her life together after the loss that theheve had and you seeeeer really doing anything she cann for r r children, and i think thats sosothing that i was really interested in and the humanity within that. For me, this kind of movie, and not really a trick, is just the living and believing it. You know youre with these children, you connect, you do the work, youre actually shooting in the house for 30 days in a row and you make it as real as possible to you and then you really start to believe it. So when these moments happen, its an organic exchange. Guys, were running out of time heres this weeks rundown of people in my country consider this an act of war. The next mistake our governments make could be the last one. I guarantee you that at some point, everything is going to go south on you. Go go what are you doing . All eyes were on Carey Mulligan as she walked the red carpet in new york to chat about her new drama about the Womens Suffrage Movement suffragette. Carey i play maude watts, whos a fictional character based on some of the information of different woman at that time. And shshs a very conventional traditional woman which is married, she has a son and she kind of becomes swept up in this movement, in the Womans Movement and she starts to think about what her life could be like if she, if it was better, if she had the vote, if she could sort of impact change. Sarah whave maude watts whos a composite character drawn from a lot of working woman, whose accounts we read at the time. And then we have Emily Davison whos the woman who went to derby famously and we also have Emmeline Pankhurst who is played by meryl streep in the film. Who appears only for one sequence but a really vital sequence, where she lights up the lives of those women. We caught up with vin diesel as he gave fans a sneak peek at his new fantasy adventure the last witch hunter at amc theaters in new yo city. Vin im really blessed and of people that give me feedback and they so often talk abwut their loyalty to the characters that are existing like don toretto or xander or riddick or groot, but theres a whole bunch of them that are always asking for original characters and the idea that we had an opportunity to create something original like this is a real l ol thing. Elijah i i ink the reality of vin, i think a lot of people know already, but hes a big d d fan, hes hugely into fantasy, he knows a lot about toking, tolkien, talked to me a lot about lord of the rings and the silmarillion, so in a way, theres aspect of this character that are very steeped in that realm and its very true to who he is and, and i think he was very excited about wielding a flaming sword. Breck vin is the only man who can play the last witch hunter truly, from my point of view, from the studio, from cory, who wrote this script, vin is the last witch hunter. I mean, he is, he embodies this idea, he envelops the world ere he comes from, you know whatateriod he comes from, he is just, he embodies what i wanand out of this role and it was thats it for this week.
