The city will also build a new Aquatic Center in morningside at cone park. And then close lewis pool when that center opens. The next step is presenting the plan at a Public Meeting next month before ultimately seeking approval from the city council. 3 a woman accused of stealing from the disablbl widow of a sioux city murder victim is getting probation. Suzanne skoglund was accused of stealing a 13 thousand dollar necklace from nancy steffe. Following the death of steffes husband ben 2014. Ben steffe was shot to death in his morningside home. No one has ever been held responsible. For about two weeks after the shooting. Skogland provided care for nancy steffe at her parents home. Skogland pleaded guilty to theft in the first degree. She was given 2 years probation by judge jeffrey poulson. 3 3 a sioux city group is looking to help women defend themselves. Well armed women holds meetings each month at the yards shooting range in sioux city. Each meeting includes a presentation. And practice shooting firearms at the range. Manon says he sees more people come in with wrist fractures during the winter monthsits when you get that black ice out there and the snow because all too often slips and falls happen really quickly and out of the blue. This is why he jokingly calls winter. Fracture season. I would say the majority of nowadays are pretty severe fractures that involve the joint and we usually treat these with surgery. If a patient can avoid surgery. They will usually get a cast or a reduction. Where they put the joint back into place. But. If surgery is needed. Thats usually a meticulous process we really try to get every single fragment back in its proper place and getting a nice smooth joint surface so the patient can go back to normal activity pain free.
