Nearly three years after the boeing 777 mysteriously disappeared over the indian ocean. In a joint statement center by the three countries involved in the search, malaysia, china and australia officials said in part, despite every effort using the best science available, a search has not been able to locate the aircraft. Flight 370 vanished on march 8, 2014 en route to kuala lumpur to beijing. There were 239 passengers and crew on board. No remains were found. And the search area over the 46,000 square miles of the indian ocean. A few random pieces of the aircraft did wash ashore but the planes disappearance became one of the great aviation mysteries of all time. Officials admit they have may have been looking in the wrong area and the vastness of indian ocean is a lot to overcome. It is not an easy task. Its very difficult. Ive been to that water and going through all of these difficulties i recommend stopping the search. Officials say the decision to suspend the underwater search has not been taken lightly or without sadness. Well, in another indication of the shaky relationship between the u. S. And russia, this morning the Russian Foreign minister accused the u. S. Of spying. Sergey lavrov said u. S. Diplomats have engaged in espionage trying to recruit senior russian diplomats. In a wideranging News Conference lavrov also talked about working with the Trump Administration to fight international terrorism.
