And the man seen grabbing her on Surveillance Video sunday night is under arrest. Last night carlesha freelandgaithers family left a maryland hospital where she was treated for unspecified injuries. Shes said to be in good condition. She was rescued in a baltimore suburb. As kris van cleave reports, her family is relieved and grateful. Im taking my baby home, thank you. She thanked the public for the happy ending to her daughters nightmare. Her daughter was found wednesday, three days after her apparent abduction was captured. Her abductor has been arrested. Reporter they tracked the woman to maryland where someone used her atm card. Police chased the car and her abductor to jessup about ten miles southwest of baltimore. The agents at that point moved in, utilized one of their vehicles to block him, to prevent him from leaving the parking airy. When the subject exited the vehicle, he was apprehended, and thats when miss freeland was recovered. Police say he was wanted on a warrant from an earlier case in virginia. For attempted capital murder, assault, malicious injury with acid, explosives, or fire. Hes a thug and this is what he does apparently. People like this dont necessarily it doesnt make sense. Dont try to find it. Hes a vicious predator, hes off the streets, and hopefully hell be in jail for the rest of his life. Reporter theres no indication they knew each other. Freeland is said to be okay. She spoke with her mother by telephone. She was very upset and was crying and asking for me. She said she missed me, come get her. He promised to work with republicans now set to control both houses of congress, but he also indicated he will work without them. With republicans set to control both the house and senate come january, president obama addressed the nation yesterday, appearing decidedly positive. It energizes me because it means that this democracys working. The president indicated he wants to work with the new congress. The most important thing i can do is get stuff done and help congress get some things done. Were going to function, we are. Were going to pass legislation. Incoming Senate Majority leader Mitch Mcconnell and house leader john boehner outlined some of the republicans agenda in the wall street journal. Promising to push for the Keystone Pipeline and repeal sothe obamacare act. What we cant do is keep on waiting. Theres a cost to waiting. Republicans warned the president not to take executive action on immigration. Its like waving a red flag in front of a bull to say if you guys dont do what i want, im going do it on my own. A man charged with killing his girlfriend in Washington State is under arrest. He allegedly posted Graphic Photos online of Amber Copeland murdered and he said he wants police to find and kill him. Her body was found by her 13yearold son on tuesday. Police led him on a highspeed chase overnight. In the end he surrendered to police in a portsland, oregon, suburb. A male walked out of the bushes and approached him. The deputies stopped him and talked to him. He actually identified himself and said he was wanted in washington for a murder. An activist group is asking prosecutors to tell them two days ahead of time whether charges will be filed against ferguson, missouri, Police Officer who shot and killed michael brown. The group said with 48 hours notice, they can help prevent violent protests. Last night mass demonstrators were on the streets in ferguson to protest police brutality. Similar demonstrations took place in los angeles and other cities around the world. Former Baltimore Ravens running back ray rice is due to appear at an appeals hearing in new york. Rice was suspended by the nfl indefinitely after a video of him hitting his then fiancee was released. Before the video was released he had been suspended for two days. Rice wants to be reinstated. His attorney said he should not be punished twice. Spring training is still four months way but Alex Rodriguez may be in hot water with Major League Baseball again. He admitted he used steroids supplied by the owner of a florida clinic and that could prompt another investigation and suspensi suspension.
