The center for auto safety or cas believes the problem is a defect in the totally integrated power module. The component is a vehicles electronic nerve center or fuse box and if it malfunctions cas says it can lead to air bag non deployment, vehicles shutdowns, unintended acceleration and fires. The piece is in millions of chrysler vehicles manufactured between 2007 and 2014. C. A. S. Executive director Clarence Ditlow is asking the national Highway Traffic Safety Administration to investigate. Do you know of any fatalities tied to this issue . Im elizabeth cook. Fire teams are tackling a brush fire in vallejo. Its happening near the junction of junction 29 and 37. Chopper 5 is live over vallejo right now where the fire blackened a large portion of the field about 10 acres. Some dramatic moments in this fire as flames crept up close to homes on sonora pass road with the flames stopped right at some back fences. For a time the response to this fire had closed the south connector from highway 29 to westbound 37. Traffic is now moving again. We want to show you video from a short time ago. Over the past hour we have seen a helicopter make repeated water drops on the fireline. Crews are battling the fire from the ground. One of the fires began at a homeless encampment. The other touched off by a structure fire. Fire assistance has been called in the surrounding areas including crockett, American Canyon and solano county. The good news, though, fire crews appear to have this fire contained. You can see a lot less smoke than we saw even about 10 minutes ago.
