R reporter Jeffrey Epstein used a bed sheet attached to the he nk me whicalsos, ccording to heid the autopsy said he hung himself with enough force to break several bones in his neck. Darnhardt, his wife, and their baby daughter escaped, as did the two pilots. Omar villafranca has the latest on the investigation. sirens reporter n. T. S. B. Investigators are looking at Surveillance Video of the plane o it landed to figure out what went wrong. The runway is about 4,500. Eet long. The airplane was capable of landing at this runway. We dont see any indications that the initial touchdown was too long. Reporter but it was a hard landing. The plane bounced twice, causing the right main landing gear to hllapse. It then hit a chain link fence and came to a rest near a busy highway. You can see theres a piece of that chain link fence wrapped eround the body of the plane. Had that chain link fence been a few feet that way, it may have blocked the door where the earnhardts got out. Investigators say that weather was not an issue, and the pilots didnt report any problems before landing. John goglia, a former n. T. S. B. Board member, believes pilot error is unlikely. When a landing gear fails and leaves the aircraft, it normally severs all those hydraulic lines. The braking power is grossly diminished as soon as the landing gear failed. Reporter the wreckage will ou here on the street for about yso to three days while the n. T. S. B. Continues their investigation. They will then take the voice data recorder and send that to washington, d. C. , for analysis. Margaret. Brennan thanks, omar. Wall street closed a wild week y,th a rally.
