We are learning more about the suspects gunman. An iowa man is in Police Custody in the shooting deaths of the two officers. The arrest comes after an hours long manhunt. Reporter the manhunt for a suspect in the shooting deaths of two iowa Police Officers is over. 46yearold scott greene was arrested this morning in suburban des moines. The search for greene began not long after two officers were found shot and killed in a their patrol cars overnight. Investigators are calling it an ambush. It doesnt look like there was any interaction. Reporter the first officer was found dead about 1 a. M. Local tyne in urbandale iowa local time. The second one two miles away in des moines 20 minutes later. Both of them were in their cars. Reporter at Daybreak Police named greene a suspect. He was arrested a short time later miles from the crime scenes. The killings were a shock to the Quiet Community and to the police force, a tightknit family. Des moines is not a big city. We all know each other so were heartbroken. Reporter so far no word on a motive. Police arent commenting on a Youtube Video that shows a man being removed from a High School Football game. It shows a confrontation with police after the man held up a Confederate Flag near a group of blacks at the game. Stockton police are investigating the Fatal Shooting of a suspect by an off duty San Joaquin County sheriffs deputy. He was confronted about 10 40 last night in an apartment complex parking lot by two armed suspects wearing masks. The deputy opened fire striking one suspect who died at the scene. The other suspect ran off. Investigators say a stolen handgun was found at the scene was traced to the suspect who was killed. Two men accused of beating a homeless man to death in San Francisco appeared in court just a short time ago. Kpix 5s anne makovec has more on what lies ahead for the suspects. Reporter cameras were not allowed in the courtroom today but both men appeared in orange jumpsuits and pleaded not guilty to murder. Nearly two years after this video of a homeless man being beaten was captured, two suspects faced a junk. David peters and joseph stull are on the attack, the victim a disabled a 67yearold homeless man, tai lam who died. Police released this footage of the suspects smoking near a mall hoping for clues from witnesses and finally this september the investigators identified stull from a dna match at the scene. He was in jail in idaho for grand theft where they say he admitted to the, quote, random attack. Pointing a finger at peters, whom police found in stockton. Also in court this morning, former San Francisco 49er bruce miller. He pleaded not guilty to charges connected to an attack at a San Francisco hotel. Investigators say that miller was drunk back in september when he beat a 70yearold man with a cane. The alleged victims son was also injured in the attack. The 49ers released middler shortly after his arrest. A prehearing conference in the case is set for later this month. San jose Police Hope Surveillance Video will lead to tips in an Armed Robbery case. Investigators say the robber hit a 7eleven on east santa clara street at 9 00 on august 29th. They say showed the clerk a handgun and demanded cash while a second suspect stood by outside as a lookout. Both took off on mountain bikes later. It is a risky move for impatient passengers.
