within seven minutes yesterday afternoon in san francisco. a lot of people are still recovering this morning. the first crash was in japan town, the second in the bay view. more than 20 people were taken hot hospital. it happened just before 1:30 p.m. webb, police say a dump truck slammed on the brakes and a bus swerved to avoid it. 20 people were hurt. a passenger described what happened. >> next thing you know, we get this big jolt. boom. and i looked, i am like oh, my god, the front window is out. >> serve minutes late--seven pin nits later, is second collision happened in the bay view. the light rail vehicle was going to downtown when a big rig made an illegal turn in front of it. 11 people were sent to the hospital. those two muni crashes tested the city's emergency response. >> i am still working on multiple people here. >> advised, we have another red alert on the other side of the state. >> well, the fire department activated wasted time officials call a mute yule aid and they asked all to help out. >> here at the hospital, there were not my problems that i know of. we do train for this. about a year ago, we got 52 patients from the asian airline accident. >> and despite a few crazy moments, it does not appear there were any delays in getting people around. and in the south a bus caught fire on san jose. only the drive was on board yesterday afternoon. he pulled over and got out before it got any worse. look at that picture. the flames then spread to the dry grass along the road. firefighters quickly put it out and there are no problems before, with against that officer. >> well, i think the officer's actions were very upsetting. >> reporter: occupy protestor scott ole son is lashing out at an officer, robert, he recently got his job back. >> his actions have proven that he has no business being a police officer. >> reporter: oleson had his skull fractured. in a video, he claims that the officer has killed three people and bragged about it on facebook. >> they have brought a killer back to the force and in that act, let officers know that they can kill people. >> reporter: the oakland police officers association defended the deputy, saying he is a great officer who is used by city leaders as a scapegoat. and the lawyers say this is a pattern, 1 # of the last--11 of the last 15 terminations have later been reserved. >> it is a problem with trying to reform the oakland police department when discipline, even in a highly publicized case like this one with an act of senseless violence against a person, cannot fix. >> and now say said that the officer was just following orders. well, it is down to the last few hours before fans enter levi stadium. the earthquakes are playing the sounders there tonight. and everything is getting break tomorrow as a little bit of a low pressure trough up here is bringing down the pressures. so, you can see the fog, the temperatures inland, mid-90s again, a lot cooler at the shoreline, cooling off a bit tomorrow. a great day for the fair, 82- degrees and also, the earthquakes are playing tonight. 75-degrees temperature at game time. oakland, royals this afternoon, at oakland, mostly clear killed 700 people in four countries. the u.s. government is bringing two charity workers back to the u.s. the centers for disease control says there is no risk for anyone. and we spoke to the sacramento woman who just returned home from liberia. she says she is afraid for loved ones left behind. >> it is scary. i don't have is control. >> [ inaudible ] >> reporter: with a visit to see her tonight, we get the clouds and the subtropical clouds tomorrow morning and we get the humid flow. and at the golden gate bridge, it is cooler and cooler at the coastline, of course, and cooler off a little bit tomorrow. here are the sounders tonight, the first game, mid-70s will do it and the oakland as, game time temperature at 10:5 p.m. is 73-degrees. we get a little bit of a break starting tomorrow and as the week goes on, low 80s around the bay and mid-60s around the shore shrine. it is a beautiful day for a walk in the park. anne. oh, thank you. i am sorry, i am distracted this looking for a foster home. >> you took him from a shell they are did not from--the from a shelter that did not have the resources to care for him. >> yes, we want to provide care for pets a treatable conditions and whether it is an or the term foster or a longer tomorrow foster, we provide the resources. >> so you do not need to make a big commitment monetarily or time wise because you do not have the animal forever. >> right. it is a great way to get love for a short period of time and then go to the forever home. >> hopefully they will be able to stay together. >> yes, they are best buddies.
