Some water districts have criticized the dam operators in the past for releasing too much during the winter and leaving too little for the late summer. The rules havent been changed in three decades. The update allows officials to release more water before big storms hit since forecasts are more accurate enable them to retain 10 more water in the reservoir during the winter. These clouds are all associated with an area of low pressure bringing rain showers to the pacific northwest. So a few clouds from time to time today. About your it will be warmer away but it will be warmer away from the bay. Heat watch goes into effect on friday afternoon through sunday as we top off at 100 and even hotter than that inland over the weekend. So that low is spilling some precipitation into the pacific northwest. We have this huge dome of High Pressure<\/a> that continues to build into the bay area and southern california. Beaches remain cool in the 60s. High 60s and mid70s common across the bay today. 80s around the peninsula. A few 70s like Mountain View<\/a> at 78 degrees back through la honda into pescadero. Otherwise mid80s in san jose up from the average high of 79 degrees. Should be in the high 70s in santa rosa but instead 88. High 80s low 90s to the east. And again, we do have that hotter weather for the weekend. We are talking triple digits, hazy skies as our air quality goes down over the weekend. Only gradual cooling on monday through wednesday. But lets get to it. It is the parade of champions. It steps off at 10 a. M. In oakland. Mostly sunny skies at 71 going up to an afternoon high of 76 during the rally which takes place immediately after the parade. Teachers would be eligible for up to 120,000 towards a down payment on their first home. That money plus 25 of any increase in the homes value would either be paid back when the owner sells or refinances. United says the plane has been taken out of service. The jury in the bill cosby Sexual Assault<\/a> trial is returning to court this morning for a fourth day of deliberations. Hey, hey, hey the comedian saying his catch phrase after leaving the courthouse last night. Yesterday, jurors asked to review andrea constands testimony. She claims cosby drugged and assaulted her back in 2004. If convicted, he can spend up to 30 years in prison. The District Attorney<\/a> of Contra Costa County<\/a> is out of a job. He resigned after several corruption charges. Mark peterson pleaded no contest to felony perjury yesterday. In exchange, a dozen other counts of perjury and grand theft were dropped. Peterson admitted to spending more than 66,000 in Campaign Cash<\/a> on personal expenses. It was sad, it was tragic, heres a man who did a lot of good. But he had a fatal flaw. He had to live a high life and he paid a very, very severe price. Peterson was sentenced to 250 hours of Community Service<\/a> and three years probation. He has already repaid the money.
