the suspect who did the shooting got away in a stolen mazda. a suspected burglar is under arrest after holding police at bay half the day. police were called to a house at south second and martha streets downtown. they found a window broken and a man on the roof. he appeared to be under the influence and ignored their commands to come down. at one point he was trying to put the house on fire. limbs and trying to make sure it's out of the roadway so over here in north beach that is where these crews are working to clear this tree that came crashing down about an hour ago. these continue to be a problem and the city has it's hands full trying to clear these streets so expect to see more of these falling in the weeks and months ahead. the entire area is breaking for rain tomorrow. joe's
