They are working to clear it to the right shoulder right now and maybe even off the freeway off the offramp but there is a bit of a delay right now on southbound 101 before the cesar chavez exit and obviously behind the bay bridge toll plaza, youre stacked up now east of the maze. It didnt take long. The metering lights were switched on 20 minutes ago and cash and fastrak lanes are stacked up for a 25minute wait. This was came in right around the same time as that one at cesar chavez. Southbound 880 approaching highway 92 jammed to san lorenzo even though the accident is on the righthand shoulder. It wasnt blocking lanes for long but it tends to slow in the same area around this time of the morning anyway. Just the usual commute pattern. So you add an accident and that doesnt help the commute. And highway 4 now we are seeing our usual bottleneck in antioch but now it kind of spreads out all the way to concord on the approach to willow pass. Yahoo has said in the past it plans to return half of that to shareholders through stock buy backs and dividends. And investors like that news. Yahoos shares are surging higher this morning. Coming off some big gains yesterday, the dow up 215 points. Nasdaq up 100. Going to be a little tougher to build upon that today. The good ones were stationary. Were standing against the curb. People come to us. But the bad ones, they roam up and down so they cross paths or they target the same people. Well, too bad batman wasnt there to stop all that fighting. Mr. Incredible eventually chased off batgirl seems to be just fine so i was in disneyworld one time i saw snow white smoking a cigarette. A slightly new location is approaching gustania road. Traffic is jammed from cotati. Those speeds are not budging over 15 miles per hour. Also that earlier crash thatty mentioned on 101 turns out we believe now it is on 237 and thats why the drive time is so slow out of milpitas. It looks like its westbound 237 right before you reach the 101 interchange. And now it is backed up into fair oaks into milpitas where that 880 237 camera is showing you live traffic conditions and the bottleneck forming. Heres a live look at sensors in the east bay. Southbound 880 on the approach to high 92, we had one earlier crash cleared to the shoulder quickly but very heavy from san leandro down into hayward, bay bridge backups still extend east of the maze 580 your most slow your slowest approach, rather, backed up to the 24 interchange. And a lot of orange in the city as we are getting ready for the world series to come back to the bay area on friday. Of course, we have a World Series Game tonight. High clouds continuing to drift overhead. High pressure a rather weak system but just Strong Enough to bump the rain up to the north. That could change tomorrow as we are going to start to see some of those clouds thicken up moving into the north bay by tomorrow afternoon. But today sunshine and some high clouds more statehouse possibly tomorrow. And then as we head into the weekend, this ridge though bouncing that rainfall up to the north right now. A lot of high clouds will stream across our skies from time to time throughout the day today. Temperatures around the state in the 70s in the Central Valley showers toward eureka but dry elsewhere. This gets interesting on our computer models you see a lot of clouds on and off throughout the day and then toward tomorrow, some showers developing in the north bay. The rest of the bay area is staying dry. But then as we get into friday of course the world series returning to the bay area, things get a little iffy but not until toward the weekend. Reporter 39yearold martin hynek denies the accusations from the San Francisco woman who was his uber passenger saturday night. His words were i need address for gps. But she says he only ended up driving her a few blocks before he got so angry about the fact that she didnt have an exact address that he physically threw her out. He grabs my arm, i take that hand and i hold it up with my phone to take a picture. He lets go and grabs the phone and throws it down the street. I have never touched that woman. I did not touch her. There was no way me touching the girl. She didnt want to leave. I was actually forced to say that im going to call police. Why would a woman make this whole thing up . Thats a good question. Say you threw her phone. These things dont make sense unless you are in the situation. People do get upset. So im just the driver can be person in a bad spot because the other person is having bad day. I had one guy before, he called me [ censored ] hole five times. And i was like, okay three times is okay. If you gonna do it five times im gonna ask you to leave and i did it and the guy left. Reporter i dont know anything about taxi driving but it seems unusual to me you would ever ask somebody once to get out of your car nevermind twice. Cal fire says 10,000 square feet of pallets are burning. Flames have spread to the barn. Firefighters have 11 engines attacking the fire. And today marks a year since the shooting death of andy lopez. The santa rosa teen was shot by a Sonoma County sheriffs deputies, erick gelhaus. The deputies mistook the pellet gun for an assault rifle. Erick gelhaus is cleared of any wrongdoing. There will be a memorial this afternoon. The giants are up one game to nothing in the world series heading into game 2 against the royals. Madison baumgarner put on another dominant performance last night in game one giving up just one run in seven innings. The offense took care of the rest and the giants cruised to a 71 win. He is 45 years old a divorced father of two who used to be a paramedic. He now lives with his parents in capitola and needs around the clock care. He was asked last night if he had any bitterness or regrets about the day that changed his life. Well, had i known, i would have turned to see the guy running at me and ready to clock my block. You know . Stow was awarded an 18 million settlement but has not received that money because of setbacks with the court. The two men who attacked him pleaded guilty earlier this year.
