her adult grandchildren and their children. three generations of family members now displaced. they are being aided by the red cross. this fire was fierce. it took about two hours to calm. here back on scene, firefighters are mopping up making sure there are no more hot spots. that home was vacant. they are thinking that it was set somehow and that will have to cannot. again, one firefighter firefighter is injured fighting a two alarm fire. sue kwon is at the scene with the latest. >> reporter: right now firefighters are putting out hot spots and mopping up the area. this fire was so difficult to fight, they had to use satellite imagery to see what they were dealing with. the flames went from one building to a lot of debris to a carport and nailed an attached home. this two alarm fire broke at 2:30 and spread through this area and mrs. odessa allen who lived next door, she is 87 years old and had three generations with her including grandchildren and a five year old. they did escape safely. here is what a relative told us this morning. >> i don't know what happened but they started a fire and caught on to my grandmother's house. >> this was a garage here initially. remnants of a garage. and things just spread pretty fast. that's why it's to me it's suspicious. >> and one firefighter battling the flames from the deck, his foot fell through some of the wood debris and had to be taken to the hospital with ankle or knee injury. he is said to be doing fine. because of the home next door was actually vacant at the time. they did call in arson investigators because they believe this could have been sparked by a person, possibly an object. this had a carport area, a lot of debris. couldn't see what they were dealing with. as the sun's coming up, you can see the damage. six people displaced. another two from smoke inside te home. and the red cross is on scene helping these victims. we'll have another report in about a half an hour. >> all right. thank you.
