Today, just this morning, when they delivered that petition to the archdiocese doors, they did not get a warm welcome. Petition in hand, they delivered their grievance to the archdiocese front door but that door was closed and locked to them. Let us ask for dignity to be respected. Reporter the staff person inside did not unlock the door. This is a false battle. This is a wrong battle. This is the last thing that jesus would be saying. Reporter still, they got their message across sliding the petition filled with nearly 30,000 signatures of support through the door. In these papers, politicians and other leaders say the march for marriage this week at the Nations Capital is a homophobic event and they dont want the leader of San Franciscos Catholic DioceseSalvatore Cordileone attending the event. June 19 event is being organized by some of the most extreme antilgbt organizations and leaders. Reporter on its website, the National Organization for marriage, which hosts the rally, writes this march powerfully proclaims the marriage as a union of one man and one woman is our cultures best means of linking mothers and fathers to one another and to their children if youre going to support marriage, then you need to support all marriages. Reporter sunday, protestors rallied in response to the growing list of grievances. Monday cordileone wrote, the march for marriage is not anti lgbt. It is not antianyone or antianything. Happening today, Fremont City Council considers putting up cameras and license plate readers for criminals coming in and out of the city. They are asking for 300,000 for cameras at the main entrances and exits in fremont. They say 33 of 46 burglars caught and convicted in fremont for the past 6 months were from out of town. The cameras might help catch more.
