year. it's really important for the cats to come in because they can really hide their diseases. coming in regularly helps. the carrier though i know is a big deal breaker. so one of the big things is getting them more comfortable and making it a sanctuary. putting the carrier in a place in the house is really comfortable for them is important. picking it -- a spot next to their favorite scratching post in a sunny spot for them is really nice. next important, get a carrier where you can take the top off. this one come right off very nicely. and then you can leave the carrier out. it can almost can put the top back on and put the door in place. start feeding them a little bit closer to the carrier and maybe every day you move the food bowl a little bit closer and will a little bit close -- a little bit closer. eventually the idea is to have them in the carrier and shut the door at home. lots of treats and praise. this is really something that's a slow process. takes a few weeks. you might want to get the care year out of the closet a few weeks before the vet appointment so they get used to it being in the house and it's not so scary for them. >> it's scary for the cat owners because i've talked to a couple of my friends today who have cats and they say that some of them -- i mean they just won't travel sometimes with their cat because they're afraid. >> right. right. it is a big point a big sticking point and i know that's a big reason because it can be really scary. once they're a little bit more comfortable with the carrier, you can also kind of start working on the car ride. that's an important part too. and again, slow and steady. you don't want to force your cat into doing any of it. lots of praise and lots of reward. no punishment. >> okay. definitely some good advice. so thank you dr. robin ans season. that was great. -- hansen. that was great. if you want to learn more about the five steps just go to the kpix 5 facebook page. we'll have the video posted matters a lot. so you want to make sure it's actually light in your hand. that manes there's less -- means there's less seeds and it will be less bitter. store its in the fridge and it will store for little bit but put some kind of citrus on there when you open it up so it will stop browning almost immediately. one of my favorites is to keep it simple. splash it with only olive oil and just grow
