Scandal but we have learned that two actually resigned a few months ago. And one sergeant who was linked to the scandal retired last december. The mayor says state law prevents her from sharing information about those specific officers. But she says they will never work as police again. That goes on their permanent personnel record. That record will always be checked should that individual seek a Law Enforcement job. Reporter seven other officers caught in the scandal are suspended without pay for about two weeks and they could still appeal. Reporter just yesterday, Livermore Police announced one of theirs officer has resigned after being accused of having sex with guap. She has also implicated officers from richmond and three Alameda County deputies. Michelle. Anne, thank you. The 2016 general election is officially under way. Voters can submit their absentee ballots starting today in North Carolina, the first of the 37 states to allow early voting. In 2012, about 35 of voters cast their ballots before election day. Reporter north korea is hailing its fifth nuclear test a success on state tv adding the nation now capable of mounting Nuclear Warheads on ballistic rockets. The president said north koreas test would be, quote, met with serious consequences. Just this week, the country tested three Ballistic Missiles prompting president obama to threaten tougher sanctions. We have some slowmoving traffic along there from hayward into the peninsula, 880 across the span to 101 will take you about 13 to 15 minutes. Lets say 20 minutes actually because its slowing up now. A look at the rest of your east bay travel times. Altamont pass to 680 will take about 15 to 20 minutes. You have carquinez bridge to the maze westbound, that will take you about 20 to 30, as well. And heres a look if you are taking that carquinez bridge to the maze westbound to the bay bridge toll plaza, backing up towards the maze, we have about a 15minute drive time into the city. We definitely have low clouds and fog along the coast and some little bit of mist and drizzle if you are driving in along the Golden Gate Bridge this morning. Right now, temperatures are in the mid to upper 50s. And this is a live look at sfo where we have about 15minute delays for arrivals and departures this morning. Futurecast shows those low clouds that have made their way inland will pull back to the coast later on today. As they do though were beefing up the marine layer. Thats going to increase our onshore flow keep temperatures on the cool side as we move on into the weekend. So what you saw yesterday is what you can expect today. We have low pressure in place, that is going to enhance the marine layer and increase our sea breeze as we make our way on into the next couple of days. So a little warmer for some folks inland today than yesterday. Most folks, though, going to be staying in that same temperature range that we saw yesterday. High temperatures today topping out in the 60s along the coast. 70s around the bay. And were talking about upper 80s to near 90 for the warmest locations inland. A look at the extended forecast shows again if you think this is cool, just hang in there. Wait until next week. Temperatures topping out in the low 90s today. And then topping out near 80 degrees for the warmest spots by midweek next week. Back to you guys. Thank you. The eastern span of the bay bridge is only around for 3 years. But a new report shows its proved extremely costly. An Emergency Fund set aside for the structure started with 900 million. And now thanks to several repair efforts, that money is down to 67 million. The commit overseeing the project says officials expected there would be nearly 200 million left at this point, according to the committee. Now the Bay Area Toll Authority will have to foot the bill if repair needs exceed the Emergency Fund but a spokesman says, tolls wont increase no matter what. He is now the third nfl player to join in on the National Anthem protest. And marshall clarified exactly why he did what he did after yesterdays game. I feel like this is the right platform, um, this is our only platform, you know, to really, you know, be heard and i feel like a lot of times people want us to just, you know, shut up and entertain them shut up and play football. Reporter that was just a couple of weeks ago that kaepernick told reporters the choosing to sit or kneel during the National Anthem because he believes right now the flag symbolizing america, which he says oppresses minorities. After much debate, Santa Clara Police have decided not to boycott the 49ers opener at levis stadium this monday. The name Colin Kaepernick came up many times during the meeting yesterday with some officers still angry over his remarks about police violence. The union debated the pros and cons of a boycott with feedback from the Asian Law Alliance and the president of the san jose chapter of the naacp. In the end, no boycott. But a firm invite for kaepernick to come visit and hear their side of the story. A man suspected in several car shootings in san joses blossom Blossom Valley is expected in court today. Michael lewis was in court yesterday on weapons possession charges. Todays appearance will involve charges directly related to the shootings along blossom hill road between may and august. San jose police say they were able to link a weapon found in lewis home to evidence from some of the shootings. A crime lab was able to eventually connect the handgun to bullets and casings that were recovered as evidence from four of the previous shootings. No one was seriously hurt in those shootings. The Dakota Access pipeline would move oil from north dakota to illinois. Protestors say it would contaminate Drinking Water and harm sacred native american land. Police are still investigating clashes last weekend when private security guards allegedly used pepper spray and released attack dogs on demonstrators. I wasnt expecting to mace me. Or the dogs. They let the dogs loose on a horse and they maced a woman in the face. Thats what started it all. A native american tribe has sued to try to stop this 3. 8 billion project. The pipelines Developer Energy transfer partners says it would help the u. S. Become less dependent on foreign oil. Lawmakers in nevada moved forward with a plan to build a new stadium for the raiders. They met with developers yesterday to discuss fund, for the 1. 9 billion facility. Next week the committee is expected to issue a recommendation on the project to the full legislature. Its not a done deal yet. Developers wouldnt budge on the request for 750 million in public funds or their refusal to share any stadium revenue with the state. Today the bay area Bikeshare Program plans to announce a Sponsorship Agreement that will allow the program to greatly expand its fleet. The fleet is expected to grow from the current 700 bicycles to 7,000 some of those bicycles will be added to those already in san jose and San Francisco. Others will be used to Start Service in oakland, berkeley and emeryville. Kim chambers today will attempt to swim 93 miles from sacramento to tiburon. You may remember chambers historic swim last year when she became the first woman ever to swim from the Golden Gate Bridge to the farralones. Today she will begin whats expected to be a 45hour journey along the sacramento river. Chambers talked to our vern glenn about the specialized training needed to complete this time of marathon swim. So this swim again is at least 45 hours of nonstop women. And again, im having heart palpatations as i talk about it. But, um, for three months, i would practice sleep deprivation so getting out at 4 00 swimming, going to work at adobe, coming home, making dinner and then swimming through the night. We have very slowmoving traffic into livermore across the span there on to the dublin interchange Altamont Pass to 680 westbound will take you about 20 minutes. And now lets take a look at the san mateo bridge here. 880 to 101 westbound will take you about 15 minutes. But slowmoving traffic from hayward to the peninsula. Heres the rest of the drive times. We have 280 to 101 will take you about 5 minutes so looking green all throughout after the bridge. Bay bridge toll plaza maze to downtown to San Francisco will take you up to 20 minutes. Kenny . Julie . Just kidding. [ laughter ] so we are taking a look at sfo this morning with delays on flights at 15 minutes this morning. Temperatures in the mid to upper 50s pretty much areawide. Now, taking a look at futurecast, cloudy inland, a lot of people with low clouds and fog and drizzle along the coast this morning. As we make our way throughout the day though, the fog does pull back to the coast and low clouds, as well. So most will see sunshine today. But notice how much we enhance the marine layer today. The beefier the marine layer, the more significant the onshore flow. And the more significant that maren influence. So low pressure in place, it will increase our sea breeze today. And that ocean breeze will continue helping to Cool Temperatures along the coast and by the bay. We will likely see temperatures warm for some inland locations today. Many folks will be where they were yesterday a couple of outliers, places like livermore and concord super cool yesterday will warm today. Heres the temperatures areawide. 60s along the coast. Near 70 by the bay for many lowations. 81 redwood city. Mid60s to upper 60s around San Francisco today. 82 san rafael, napa. 89 fairfield. Livermore near 90. One of the hot spots as well as concord 87. 81 in san jose. A look at the extended forecast shows more cooling is on the way. So we dropped a good 15, 20 degrees yesterday between wednesday and thursday. Today well stay there. We are going to hover with temperatures near 90 degrees for the warmest spots moving into the weekend. But come next week we cool even more.
