to investigate a homicide that happened in a stairwell of the westfield mall. The call came in at 10 15 yesterday morning in a stairwell near bloomingdales just 15 minutes after the mall opened. Inside officers found a white man in his 30s dead. It isnt known how long the mans body may have been there or how he died. Were not disclosing the exact location of where he was found to protect integrity of the investigation. But we are confirming that it was found inside the mall. In fact, kpix 5 has learned the body was found in a stairwell that the general public doesnt have access to without an employee keycard. Hundreds of
