They were killed yesterday morning responding to a report of a man with an assault rifle. Police identified the gunman as gavin long, a former marine. One of the murdered officers was 32yearold Montrell Jackson who believes behind a wife and infant son. My heart is broken. The others killed, Deputy Brad Garafola and officer Matthew Gerald. The death of these three brave officers underscores the danger that are Police Across the country confront every day, and we as a nation have to be loud and clear that nothing justifys violence against Law Enforcement. A spokesperson for San Jose Police said that its of officers would be able to ride with a partner if they wanted to. And then yesterday happened. The mayor reacted. The reality is this is a very dangerous job. These folks are doing everything they can to protect us.
