One is in critical condition. The other is in stable condition. One of them was, we hear, shot in the face. At one point the suspect ran through a safeway near our location now, entered the house on 41000 block of roberts avenue and thats where officers found him at midnight. They have been negotiating with him since. Oakland police now are here on the scene to relieve the Alameda County sheriffs office. San franciscos acting police chief says he is waiting to release more information about the police shooting. It led to the resignation of former police chief greg suhr. 29yearold Jessica Williams was killed in the shooting on may 19 in the bayview. The department has released no new information since that day other than the name of the officer involved. The Sergeant Justin erb. Acting chief Toney Chaplin says he is waiting for the results of a crime scene reconstruction before releasing more information. The chiefs announcement comes as the Police Commission approves the use of body cameras. The policy which was approved last night will allow officers involved in shootings to watch the footage only after they give a statement of facts. The argument is that if an officer sees what the camera saw, he or she could change the story to fit the facts. The cameras could be in use by the end of the month. Police in novato need your help tracking down this teen 19 yearold javier guevera. He is the third suspect linked to the gruesome murder of a Novato High School student. Guevera is also a suspect in the attempted murder of a second teen. The other two suspects in the crime showed up in court yesterday. Visit was brief. One suspect is charged with a source says Juan Carlos Martinez henriquez used a machete to cut off edwin guerras hands and tried to chop off his head. Guerra was killed on a hiking trail last wednesday. The details are tough to stomach. Talking about a crime that was vicious as was disclosed this morning in court. A machete was used in the course of this attack that took place last wednesday. Not only a machete but a handgun. Marin county sheriffs say that the third suspect is likely armed and dangerous. The teens return to court next week. A federal judge has rejected a lawsuit filed by a supporter of Bernie Sanders. Taking a look at Regional Medical center in san jose, this is where both officers were taken. The first officer who was shot underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition. The detective in the second shooting was shot twice in stable condition. Students at ucla are heading back to class today after a murdersuicide caused panic across campus. Hundreds of cops swarmed the university after a 911 call came in about gunshots on school grounds. The entire ucla campus was put on lockdown as 40,000 students looked for a place to hide police found two bodies in the Engineering Building with a gun and suicide note. The shooting victim engineering Professor William klug, 39, father of two young children. Police havent released the name of the shooter yet. They say a male student committed the crime. It was surreal. It happened fast. I just got up and ran and then police told me to run further. There are no suspects outstanding. And no no continuing threat to uclas campus. Ucla administrators say extra counselors will be on campus today to support students and staff. The University Also has plans to hold a candlelight vigil this evening. Gun violence is in the spotlight across the country today because a Wear Orange Campaign is honoring anybody who has been hurt by firearms. Land marks like the Empire State Building are making sure the color catches our attention. The campaign got its start in chicago where a group of High School Students wanted to honor a 15yearold classmate who was shot and killed. They chose the color orange. Cincinnati authorities are considering whether to bring charges against the parents of a boy who fell know a gorilla enclosure at the city zoo. Zookeepers killed the gorilla to save the boys life after he was dragged by the animal. Police are still reviewing the parentss actions leading up to the incident. Now its up to the local prosecutor to decide whether charges will be filed. An ohio mother has found herself at the center of a lot of cruel hate email. She shares the name of the mother of the boy who fell into the gorilla enclosure. Michelle gregg said she is being called a bad mother. She says she sympathize he is with the other michelle greg. I would teller that i know how she feels. Because im receiving a ton of email thats directed towards her. And that im sorry everything is happening to her like this. And i know what a child is capable of. She also posted messages on her Facebook Page saying neither she nor her 5yearold son have ever been to the cincinnati zoo. Residents of an exclusive east Bay Community must start watering their lawns or risk paying fines. The Blackhawk Homeowners Association says it is time to restore beautiful landscaping. Starting today, residents must have a healthy lawn or drought tolerant landscaping. Water district officials are removing mandatory water cutbacks but conservation goals are still in place. On monday morning some golfers at wildwood found snapping turtles had laid eggs in the sand trap. One player snapped a picture of the turtle dug into the sand. These creatures have powerful jaws so players are advised to stay away. One animal expert says the little guys are born to be tough.
