San Francisco history here behind me. They will open at 11 00. High bridge arms barely has any inventory left because people have been rushing the store getting the last of the firearms. The policies that michelle mentioned dont go into effect until late december but customers according to the owner will not stand for these new rules. So he says he just had to close. A little bit of history for you. In 2005
San Francisco voters passed prop 8 that banned the sale of firearms and ammo and outlawed possession of handguns by all city residents. The law was struck down by the courts under a challenge by the nra. Then this week the board of supervisors passed mark farrells legislation that would require videotaping of all gun sales and the weekly reporting of ammo sales to the
Police Department. The idea was just announced, the following two weeks sales just dipped like a ghost town here. Nobody was coming in. If i have to choose between the existence of a gun store in
San Francisco or the
Public Safety of our residents, im going to choose the public say. Of our residents every, single day. Reporter now, gun buyers here already have to fill out a detailed form, go through a background check and waiting period. But having a videotape of the purchase sending it to local police is one regulation too many according to the owner. Reporter more gun control could soon follow in california as
Lieutenant Governor gavin newsom is backing a safety for all initiative for next year which would, among other things, treat ammunition sales like firearms sales, requiring background checks. Now, in the meantime, high bridge arms here in the mission has been selling souvenir t shirts. They are almost out of guns completely running through their inventory before the final closure tomorrow. Live in

Health Experts now confirm a restaurant worker has tested positive for shigella. But they say that employee was not patient zero. Kpix 5s kiet do is live in san jose with the latest. Reporter good morning, mariscos san juan here in downtown san jose has been shut down for nearly two weeks and it looks like the big question of what caused this outbreak may never be known. Test results are in and only one employee came back as positive. But investigators say that employee got sick from the food not the other way around. In other words, that employee likely didnt bring the shigella bacteria into the restaurant and contaminate the food. The
Health Department says that employee got sick like everybody else by eating it. Despite not having a smoking gun that, um, on what caused the outlook exactly, we do know that the outbreak stems from the restaurant. And so we will likely never know where that shigella came from since twothirds of food borne illness case are never solved. They never did find the bacteria in any of the food samples, either. The 190 cases, all but three ate at the restaurant which means the rate of secondary infections was very low. So the county says that it looks like finally this outbreak is slowing down.
