Reporter its dedicated after the flight 93 victims. This is the flight that crashed on september 11th, 2001, in pennsylvania. The majority of the people that were on the flight coming from the east coast were actually citizens here in San Francisco. So this ship has close ties to San Francisco and we are very pleased to be able to bring the ship for fleet week. Reporter fleet week is tradition here in San Francisco. A lot of people come to have fun and check out booths and displays by the navy, by the coast guard, by the marines. Whats the importance to the navy specifically . Why do we do this . Late paving work taking place right now again just that one lane open for you. Meantime, the eastshore freeway is much slower than usual. We had an accident at one point blocking multiple lanes. So westbound 80 very heavy now from beyond highway 4 stays heavy towards the richmond area where all lanes are open, as well. The bay bridge commute metering lights are on. Traffic is backed up from about the 880 overcrossing. A 28minute drive time between the carquinez bridge and the maze in oakland. Meantime 880 as it rolls through the east bay oakland area no delays approaching high street. An accident along the guadalupe parkway in the northbound direction of 87 approaching capitol expressway. At least one lane of traffic shut down. Traffic is now backed up the length of the guadalupe parkway. Theres also another crash being reported north 87 at 280. Because of the earlier problems we have had in union city, southbound 880 just a virtual parking lot. It is backed up now from beyond 238. Stays heavy into union city. So that is several miles of very slow traffic. You may want to take mission boulevard as your alternate. Over at the bay bridge toll plaza, we havent had any major issues for this commute. Its going to be slow beyond the 880 overcrossing with the metering lights on. Local transit has been in good shape still no delays for the bart system. And all of the late roadwork which had delayed some of the traffic leaving san leandro into oakland, thats been cleared up.
