Multiple sources tell kpix5 they successfully recovered a gun from the bay believed to be the murder weapon for 32year old Katheryn Steinle. It was 6 00 last evening. 46yearold Francisco Sanchez walked up and shot a stranger. It happened so fast the 32year old Katheryn Steinle didnt even realize shed been hit. The victim said something to her family members that she didnt really feel well. She fell for the ground. Reporter bystanders including her own father tried to do cfr, but it was too late. Sanchez was arrested a short time later about a mile south by pier 40. Police originally called sanchez a person of interest. Tonight they are calling him a murder suspect.
