he did make a decision tonight. but not before helping others get to their correct location, precinct, or even determine if they were registered republicans. matt: i don't even have a registered address. before heading to his precinct in high school. matt weber vounteers to help the dozens and dozens of people who need to know where there precinct is, what room they meet, and for some, if they are a registered republican. matt: correct no problem, i will be right with you. matt: may i have your attention please? precnct meetings will commence in 10 minutes. as a software engineer, matt has the expertise many other volunteers here don't. the line to get in to register began at 5:00 and stretched outside around the front as the early evening wore on. matt: the cut off to register was the 13th. but by 6:45 the line was at the door. matt was still helping out....his precinct would have to wait. matt: my lap top is about to die. once inside room one- 10---some had already cast their ballots and left., others favorite candidate and why. man: because he seems very honest and he sticks to what he says. woman: he is a very christian believer which is a big part of may beliefs. as one of three undecided voters in the room, this is exactly how the process is supposed to work. the group talked for 20 minutes, and were courteous to each other and the various points of view. precinct chair: did tht help you guys at all? "keeping this facility open is contrary to our values. it undermines our standing in the world. it is viewed as a stain on our broader record of upholding the highest standards of rule of senate majority leader mitch mcconnell, and many other top republicans, want guantanamo bay to stay open. but despite g-o-p opposition, committee chairs in the house and senate, say they'll hold hearings on the president's plan. ### while the republican presidential candidates were busy caucusing here in nevada-- the democratic candidates, went head to head in a town hall. guantanamo bay was a big topic for the night. hillary clinton says there is no reason, for guantanamo to continue. " i hope some of the republicans will understand that we're in a fight against terrorism. we have to defeat it. we don't need to have guantanamo hanging out there over our heads." meanwhile, bernie sanders accused donald trump-- and others, of forming a "racist effort" to de-legitimize president obama. ### "my dad, as i mentioned, came from poland. i'm running for president. guess what? nobody certificate. maybe it's the color of my skin, i don't know." during tonight's town hall-- sanders also called for clinton to release transcripts of paid speeches that she made to wall street banks. clinton replied, that she'd do it.if everyone does the same. ### damage from a huge boulderis blocking one lane near lake tahoe. the plan, to remove this massive rock-- and reopen the road. and c-d-c is investigating at least 14 zika virus cases. all of those cases, were sexually transmitted. and, several of the cases involved pregnant women. the c-d-c adds-- the new reports suggest sexual relations, may likely be a way zika spreads. however, the most common way to be infected with zika, is through a mosquito bite. zika has been confirmed in 23 u-s states, and the district of columbia. and, the world health organization says up to 4-million people, will be infected in the next year. ### a contradiction: the breast cancer rate in the u-s has not increased. women are opting to have their breasts, surgically removed. doctor timothy medical minute. terrifying diagnosis...and decades ago, removing the entire breast was the only answer? but then surgeons began to preserve normal breast areas by doing lumpectomies instead? finding from agency for healthcare research and quality, changing again. total mastectomies, complete removal of the breast - third between 2005 and 2013. part of the reason for the increase was a doubling in the number of women opting for double mastectomies; having both breasts removed even if cancer actress angelina jolie made headlines when breasts removed, genetic mutation, which raises cancer risk. doctors suggest that some high-risk women prefer having the double surgery to the anxiety of having frequent mammograms and biopsies. survival rates are no different for women who have a mastectomy versus women who have a smaller lumpectomy. but double mastectomies do, of course, reduce the chance of developing cancer in the other breast. obviously each woman about what is best for with this medical minute, i'm dr timothy johnson. the nevada department of transportation, is making progress on removing a large boulder, on u-s 50 in the glenbrook area of lake tahoe. here's video of crews with a hydraulic hammer, breaking the boulder into pieces. the boulder is estimated to be 8-feet tall, and weigh about 60-thousand pounds. n-dot says this is expected to be removed-- by tonight. will need to be repaired. those repairs won't be finished, until the end of the week. so, one lane will remain closed, and minor expected. ### josh
