Reporter in july 2016, mims had been convicted of burglary in san matea. While on probatioprobation, he arrested in july of this year for possessing a firearm. July 11, he was arained in court but released by a judge. Five days rater on july 16, police say they committed the crime. They suggested release with certain conditions. And the judge carried out that recommendation. Federal agents and San Francisco police went door to door, executing search and arrest warrants. Sources with knowledge of the operation tell us the lead agency was the atf, and they started the investigation more than a year ago. Today was dday, the day they swept in and made the arrests.
