closest the firefighters will let us guess to the fire. it's racing along a candle and byrneing theyards of several homes on burwood way. this fire has damaged house and several other houses are threatened. the fire started at 4:35 p.m. inch less than an hour it went to three alarms. this fire is not under control. firefighters are putting a lot of water on this, and a lot of roads in the area are also closed, so definitely best to avoid it. you can see the plume of smoke from several miles away. we name on highway 4 eastbound, and we saw it from about five or six miles away. so on 580 because of smoke. all lanes have since re-opened. this was juan of three fires in the area. firefighters contained a 40-acre grass fire near highway 4 in contra costa county. it broke out at willow pass road. the fire was con ted at 4:00 with the help of air tankers and a calfire helicopter. crews will stay on the scene looking for hot spots. an out of control wildfire in kern county is now destroyed 150 structures, many of them homes. the deadly erskine fire has grown to 46 square miles since it erupted thursday afternoon near lake is -- lake isabelle. the fire is zero percent
