here's how it looks right now. we have lots of cloud cover as we have had throughout the afternoon and in the evening but right now we begin to see more little spots of pockets moisture showing up in the north bay. no official reports yet of actual rainfall hitting the ground but likely that there are some wet spots up here in northern sonoma county from clover dale to healdsburg we see this pocket of moisture increaseing in size and number. rain fall to the north south of eureka and swing down into our area so we start the forecast animation 11:00 o'clock this evening at which point we probably will have measurable rain fall not only in the north bay but even south ward past the golden gate down into the santa cruz mountains overnight we see this area of rainfall becoming more con sen tikrited newspaper the north bay. this line of showers moving through after midnight. that will continue into the early morning rush hour or the early morning commute if you will. several wet spots at that time so may need a little extra time morning computer by late morning to midday we see the showers breaking up. so what will follow? i'll have more on that in just a few minutes. >> carlos san jose morgan hill and 60 at half moon basement here's the view from the east bay hills camera loo looking out over the bay under partly cloudy skies. it's 62 degrees right now this santa rosa. mid 60's at napa petaluma fairfield concord and livermore and one more hive view at the golden gate bridge where it does in the appear to be wet yet but that may not remain dry very long. forecast feature we see rain spreading south ward. wet spot morning commute that could slow things down a bit and more rain possible or even likely later in the week and in to the weekend. so we have rather wet pattern coming our way at the moment as you look at the satellite image you see clouds ahead of the advancing cold front that is bringing us the showers it will have overnight. meanwhile the jet stream stormtrack quite active. just one system after another after another. moving in our direction. so we have unsettled active stormtrack that will bring us some periods of wet weather over the next several days although no continuous rainfall is expecte expected. now for the current system coming through by 5:00 o'clock tomorrow afternoon we expect maybe up to 4/10s of an inch in the north bay mountains that is the wet east ream of the bay area. most location probably not see more than about tenth of an inch so light rainfall he convenient and someplaces in the inland east bay no muvrable rainfall at al all. meanwhile in the sierra there is not likely to be much measurable rainfall south of like tahoe where it's mainly dry but from tahoe northward we expect rainfall and very high elevation up above 8,000 feet may be light snow. back to the bay area overnight look for showers periods of rain. low pressure in the upper 50's to around 60. tomorrow we see high pressure in the
